It's confirmed.
Be interesting to see which Wilson they get, either way, 4 year contract a bit of a risk for Leeds. Hopefully when we play Leeds it will be the disappearing Wilson that plays. Good luck to him though.
The club did the right thing not resigning him to those terms.
We move on.
He can only be going for money, and why not?
Good luck to him but what a pointless move in terms of his career, surely he could have done better or gone overseas for the adventure.

There's not a team in Europe that would give Wilson a four year deal and the wages he will get from Leeds.
He was linked to Villa where it was thought he would end up but I suspect when his form fell off a cliff during the last months of the season they changed their minds.
Much as I can't stand one of our better players going to a competitor in same league especially a sideways move I won't begrudge him the financial package he has negotiated good luck to him. If it weren't for Wilson's exploits late last year and early this I still lean towards we probably get relegated or certainly a close run thing.
Strange move obviously MONEY motivated, good luck Harry but I truly thought you had more class and ambition than that
Good luck to him. Excellent player for us in his time. The club really need to replace him and Raul with goals and assists otherwise we may be in big trouble next season. Hopefully new manager gets announced very soon and we can get some new players in. I think we need at least 7 in.
Four year deal on £120k a week is daft from Leeds, especially if they get relegated.

Tends to be the nature of the beast nowadays when running down a contract. Personally I would of offered Raul either same rumoured £100k a week he was on or a tad more for another season and used some of Wilsons improved offer from the club towards it. They would of known of other teams offers if they wanted to keep him. Keeping Raul looked the better option I thought but now we have neither and further weakened.

He is closing in on the end of his career, he is showing ambition in getting the biggest pay days he can while it lasts.

He's going cos he has Welsh team mates there.
It won't matter who our manager is unless we adequately replace our two, departing, top goalscorers from last season and also buy a midfield player who can defend aggressively, break up play and show a bit of ambition and a midfield box to box player who can play add something offensively.
Good luck to him, he's an average player that had a good run.
Good for him. Got a great deal/payday. That's what a professional footballer is looking for. Nothing wrong with that. Wish him well, he did score some thrillers for FFC. That said, I'm glad he's moved on. Would go for long stretches where he was basically invisible. And we have some youngsters that can play his position that will get a chance.

True, whoever comes in has to have an innate knack of scoring against them. Its worth paying a premium for!
I have absolutely no problem with any of this. I don't blame him for taking the contract and I don't blame us for not offering it.

Same here. He had one golden spell lasting a dozen or so games this season sandwiched between spells of distinctly average performances where he wasn't even a starter much of the time

There is probably a clause whereby if Leeds get relegated then Harry's contract is substantially reduced or even terminated
Thank you Harry for this last seasons flashes of brilliance, great goals and assists
Unlikely to be repeated but best wishes for your future
Im sure Leeds think they are getting a 60mio pound player on a free . But the fact that leeds are able to sign him without any of the big boys coming in should be a huge red flag to leeds . He created some great moments in a bizarre 3 month hot streak but most of the times he was AWOL during games .
and as always its about who comes in rather than who leaves . every player has to leave one day
I don't have a problem with Harry or Raul moving on. What I do have a problem with is that players like Harry continue to be allowed to run down their contracts and move for free. Fulham needs to be more on top of these contracts and start dealing with them in advance.
The other problem I see is that Fulham is losing the players who contributed the most goals over the last couple of seasons. Between Raul and Harry, they have contributed 18-19 goals during the last two seasons. That is going to be hard to replace.
It sounds like they knew he wasn't going to sign hence why they lined up the sale last season to leeds but the move for the chelsea winger fell through . Harry then probably doubled his wages with that bizarre hot streak last season .

In fairness the timing of Wilson's hot streak coincided with his contract running out. If we had extended his contract on vastly improved terms on the basis of his performances before then we probably would have said it's bad business.
I always liked Wilson, but he failed to achieve his potential in the PL up until last season. I always thought he had a good PL season in him and he produced that last season. At 29 years old I don't blame him for taking the money on a long-term deal.
As for the club, I completely agree it was the correct decision not to offer like for like terms. I would be very surprised if he repeated last seasons form into the upcoming season.

And if we had sold Harry or Raul where would the goals have come from. Given Raul's current wages and Harry's wage expectations we simply couldn't have offered them new contracts but we certainly needed them until the end of their existing contracts. Not really sure what else we could have done in the circumstances?
The club deserve credit for signing Bobb in January, giving him time to bed in so he's ready to take over in August. A rare moment of forward planning.

You can't force a player to sign a new contract. Other clubs have exactly the same experience.
If the figures are as quoted, a four year contract and £120,000 a week, at his age you can't blame him.
I will never never never never forget those two added time goals v them Bees. Thanks Harry. ::thumb::
Reminds me a bit of Muniz.. he had a purple patch, clubs came in, we gave him a big contract... H also had a purple patch which led to Silva actually picking him as a starter for the first time, as another poster said Villa pulled out as he reverted to type afterwards. Think H has pulled Leeds' pants down. You can't blame him.

Harry saved our season with he's purple patch Pre and post Christmas. He Disappointed me with he's performance's away from home never seem to be able to keep the Ball.
Thanks for the memories Harry, especially against Kew Bridge. Wishing you all the best, you got a great deal which we shouldn't have matched imo given your age and recent form and I don't blame you for taking the Leeds deal although I bet our contract offer wasn't too shabby! Definitely a sideways move though, enjoy the money.

No chance of a northern train arriving on time - just ask Mr Burnham.
I harbour no grudges over Wilson and Silva, they both gave their all whilst here and ultimately that's football, it happens to many clubs. I've already moved on.
Personally I hope we re-sign Chuk and try to get him back to the version pre-Afcon. Kevin, Bobby, Chuk and one other sounds exciting. Maybe Iwobi returns to the left if we sign a few CMs.
