Title: NFR: car too hot to get into?
Post by: keithh on June 27, 2026, 05:12:56 PM
Most modern cars have an all window feature which opens all windows by holding down the "open" button. So the car interior begins to cool before you get into it.

I have a remote app on the Discovery which lets me start the engine and set the temperature before I get in it

I normally use it at 5am in the winter but have now used it a number of times to set it at 16 degrees for 10 minutes (or more) before I get in it

Me too, it's a godsend.

I've got a 12 year old Ford focus & the "open all windows" feature is a real bonus at the moment.
