I honestly believe everything is done and dusted behind the scenes with Arbeloa and that we are just waiting to formally announce him on July 1st when his contract at Madrid ends
I know that the likes of Iraola, Sage and Maresca have all been announced but none of them start work until after Wednesday
So not long to wait now,and as with all the others being formally announced doesn't mean that he hasn't already started work 👍🏻
Going off on a tangent, last season I liked the look of Brian Brobbey at Sunderland, I see he's continuing his good form at the World Cup, little chance of us getting him but exactly the type of player we need.

The reason why Wednesday was selected is to buy time, as they are in the process of disinfecting the Hammy end Bogs supported with carbolic soap, a Tungsten Steel scrubbing brush and a Witchfinder General.
Also a man of the cloth is there as back up to perform an Exorcism.

It could be something as simple as certain parties aren't available to be snapped, sitting in the JH.

Arbeloa stepped down from first team duties at the end of the season having been asked to take over when Alonso was sacked. It could be he had a contract coaching Real's second team for a longer period and compensation has to be paid from 1 July at which time his signing can be announced.

For some, completely irrational, reason I feel that if the 2nd manager in contention is Pochettino, we'll essentially be on hold until we know when the US gets knocked out. It could be within the next week, or two, which in the grand scheme of things is nothing to get him as a manager, if indeed he was on our radar and one of the ones we were in talks with.

We do know now at least that we're just waiting on a junior clerk at the Home Office to rubber stamp the work permit.
