Title: Japan leading Brazil 1-0 at half time
Post by: Steeeeeeeeeed on June 29, 2026, 07:06:51 PM
I still want Brazil to get through, and I think they will.
It's better for the World Cup overall for me, but Japan look very good.

Casemiro has been terrible, and has been the biggest weakness for me, surprised he starts the 2nd half.

My Half Time Hairdryer works again...

That's the one thing Casemiro can still do, still very good in the air, but his legs have gone.

1-1 in the 88th minute, could still go either way.

Brazil deserved that just about, they kept pushing against a Japan that were holding on for penalties from about 60 minutes. Not spectacular in the slightest, from Brazil but they did well.

Brutal, would have loved Japan to go through.

I think we'll beat Brazil pretty handily if we do run into them.

Japan were missing four key players but gave it their best. First half well on top. Second half they tired and were unable to sustain the high energy style.

Brazil are very vulnerable in defence, so passive in midfield. They're beatable.

I'm not so sure. We're seriously shaky in defence and recent injuries haven't helped.

Also question marks over Rice's fitness. Kane has been struggling to find space dropping deep, teams have worked out he needs man marking.

Really had hoped Japan would win this game.  Brazil very lucky to have survived.
