World Cup 2026: Bobb brilliance helps Norway advance(https://images.webapi.fulhamfc.com/fit-in/1600x1600/74775160-7531-11f1-b0ec-9bfa4c9349f6.jpg)
Norway booked their place in the Round of 16 with a win over Ivory Coast, with Sander Berge and Oscar Bobb both featuring.
Having been rested in Norway's final group game against France, Sander was back in the starting XI and completed his third 90 minute outing of the tournament.
Oscar was introduced late on, and it was his incisive pass that helped create Erling Haaland's 86th minute winner.
A delightful, curling finish from Antonio Nusa gave Norway a first half lead, but an equally eye-catching goal from Manchester United's Amad Diallo saw the African side equalise.
The wide players proved decisive, as Oscar had a huge impact in the latter stages. Drifting inside onto his left foot, the former Manchester City man played a perfectly weighted through ball into the path of Patrick Berg, who squared for Haaland to score his fifth goal of the tournament.
Norway's World Cup journey continues on Sunday, when Ståle Solbakken's side will face Brazil in New Jersey, 9pm BST.

'Main Intention Was To Stay At Fulham' – Attacker Wanted Craven Cottage Move
Fulham on-loan star Samuel Chukwueze wanted to stay at Craven Cottage, but is now planning to stay at AC Milan and fight for a place in the team.
Chukwueze first came to Europe to join Spanish side Villarreal, then joined AC Milan in 2023, but failed to cement his place in the team, and in the summer of 2025 arrived at Fulham on a season-long loan.
The 27-year-old attacker made 25 appearances, scoring three goals and providing four assists for the west London club in all competitions in the recent campaign.
Despite showing glimpses of positive football at Fulham, the Nigeria international failed to convince the Cottagers to trigger the option to buy clause included in his loan deal.
Now, Fulham are staring down a summer which could bring a lot of changes at Craven Cottage, especially after the departure of head coach Marco Silva, who spent five years at the club.
It has been suggested that Chukwueze recently rejected a move to Trabzonspor, and according to Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, the 27-year-old's 'main intention was to stay at Fulham'.
But the Cottagers did not trigger the option to buy clause and now Chukwueze has plans to fight for his place at the San Siro, though AC Milan want to sell him permanently this summer
During his time at Craven Cottage, Chukwueze did struggle with a few injuries, but helped Fulham to secure a comfortable mid-table finish in the recent campaign.
The Cottagers are yet to announce their new manager for next season, but they have been heavily linked with former Real Madrid interim boss Alvaro Arbeloa.
However, the west London club have been looking into the transfer market to make key additions to the squad, and Fulham are interested in Auxerre star Lassine Sinayoko, but face competition from several Premier League clubs.
Fulham will want to add high-profile players to their squad during the course of the summer transfer window, and a return for Chukwueze might be possible after the departure of Harry Wilson, who has agreed to join Leeds United on a free transfer.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Fulham will come back for Chukwueze in the summer transfer window, but at the moment, the player is preparing to fight for his spot at AC Milan.

Liverpool rival Aston Villa, Fulham in Marcus Tavernier race
Liverpool will look to sign 27-year-old Bournemouth winger Marcus Tavernier in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Aston Villa and Fulham are also interested in Marcus Tavernier. The two ambitious Premier League clubs are keen on reinforcing their offensive units by signing a versatile attacker in the coming weeks, and they have submitted enquiries to discuss a possible move for the 27-year-old Bournemouth winger.
How has Marcus Tavernier fared in the Premier League so far?
Marcus Tavernier has become one of the most reliable attackers in the Premier League since joining Bournemouth from Middlesbrough in August 2022, having begun his youth career at Newcastle United before joining the Middlesbrough academy in 2013. However, he has become a household name in the last four seasons.
The 27-year-old has not been an undisputed first-choice starter for Bournemouth, but has been an asset due to his versatility and productivity. Tavernier was impressive in the 2025/26 season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 35 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, his progress has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Aston Villa and Liverpool, with Fulham also vying for his signature.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Fulham will target a versatile wide attacker in the ongoing transfer window, as Harry Wilson's contract has expired. The Welsh international has yet to commit his future to the West London club, and a Bosman move across the Premier League is on the cards for the former Liverpool prospect amid his links with Aston Villa, Everton, and Leeds United.
Meanwhile, Liverpool's interest in Marcus Tavernier makes sense. The Reds are combing the market for a wide attacker, as Federico Chiesa faces an uncertain future at Anfield. Additionally, Liverpool must sign multiple wingers this summer, as they have yet to fill Luis Diaz's void, while Mohamed Salah has called time on his illustrious stint with the Merseyside club.
As for Aston Villa, Unai Emery has been yearning for a versatile wide attacker, as he wants more productivity from the flanks to reduce the over-dependence on Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins. With Jadon Sancho's loan spell ending, the West Midlands club must pursue a long-term replacement.
However, Bournemouth would prefer to keep Tavernier beyond the summer for their Europa League campaign in 2026/27, according to TEAMtalk, though the interest from three Premier League rivals may force the Cherries into negotiations.

Transfer: Why wanted Nigerian star is resisting AC Milan exit after Fulham decision
Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze faces an uncertain future heading into the summer transfer window, with questions continuing to surround his next move, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze's future initially appeared settled when he left AC Milan last summer to join Premier League side Fulham on a season-long loan, with the English club holding an option to make the move permanent.
The 27-year-old showed flashes of his quality during his time at Craven Cottage, contributing three goals and four assists across all competitions. He also briefly left club duty to represent Nigeria at the 2025 AFCON, where the Super Eagles finished third to claim a record ninth bronze medal.
It initially looked as though Fulham would activate their option to sign him permanently under former manager Marco Silva following his encouraging performances. Chukwueze himself was also keen to remain at the club after adapting well to life in England.
However, Fulham ultimately decided against making the move permanent, forcing the Nigerian winger to return to AC Milan, where another major decision over his future now awaits.
Chukwueze had emerged as a major transfer target for Turkish giants Trabzonspor, who reportedly submitted an offer of around €15 million as they intensify efforts to sign the Nigerian from AC Milan.
The Turkish side are counting on the winger's European experience as they prepare for a return to the UEFA Champions League and look to mount a stronger title challenge against Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig.
Why the Nigerian forward wants to stay at AC Milan
Reports suggest Chukwueze is not interested in a move to Turkey at this stage of his career. His first preference had been to remain at Fulham, but after the Premier League club declined to activate their purchase option, he has turned his attention back to AC Milan.
"Trabzonspor reached out to AC Milan to work out a deal and are willing to pay €15m–€20m for him, but the player is not excited about playing for Trabzonspor", Buchi Laba revealed on X.
"His main intention was to stay at Fulham, but Fulham did not activate the buyback clause. So for now, Samuel's plan is to stay at AC Milan and fight for his place, even though AC Milan's plan is to sell him permanently."
For now, the Nigerian international wants to stay at the San Siro and fight for his place in the squad. With two years remaining on his contract and AC Milan entering a new era under Ruben Amorim, Chukwueze believes he could be given a fresh opportunity to establish himself.
His pace, dribbling ability and crossing suit Amorim's preferred style of play, although he will still need to improve his defensive contribution if he is to earn a regular place in the team.
That said, the summer transfer window remains open, and plenty could still change before the market closes.

Transfer: Trabzonspor set €30m-€35m price as Fulham, EPL rivals and Serie A club chase Nigerian star
Turkish Cup winners Trabzonspor have made a major decision on the future of Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu amid growing transfer interest this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nwaiwu has become one of the hottest defensive prospects on the market, attracting interest from Fulham, as well as several other Premier League clubs, and Napoli.
The Nigerian centre-back has enjoyed a remarkable rise over the past year. He only joined the Turkish club during the winter transfer window from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC after helping the club make history by winning their first-ever domestic cup title last season.
Since arriving at the Black Sea Storm, Nwaiwu has settled in seamlessly. He immediately established himself as a regular starter and was a key figure at the heart of Trabzonspor's defence.
He finished the campaign with 21 appearances in all competitions and played the full 90 minutes as they defeated Konyaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Cup final in May to lift the trophy.
His impressive club form also earned him a maiden Super Eagles call-up from head coach Eric Chelle in March. The 22-year-old then went on to play an important role as Nigeria lifted a record fourth Unity Cup title in May 2026.
Trabzonspor set Nwaiwu price tag as transfer race heats up
According to Buchi Laba on X, Trabzonspor are prepared to sell Nwaiwu this summer, but only if they receive an offer in the region of €30 million to €35 million.
The 22-year-old has become one of the most sought-after Nigerian defenders in the transfer market following his outstanding performances in Turkey.
Fulham are among his strongest admirers and have already seen an offer worth around €20 million rejected as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.
However, the Cottagers face stiff competition from several Premier League rivals, while a Serie A club is also monitoring the Nigerian international's situation closely.
Trabzonspor's valuation would represent a club-record sale and would also make Nwaiwu the most expensive player ever sold by a Turkish club if the asking price is met.
That would be a remarkable achievement for a player who only arrived in Turkey during the January transfer window but has quickly established himself as one of the league's standout defenders.
For now, Nwaiwu is expected to remain at Trabzonspor. However, with interest continuing to grow, it appears increasingly likely that he will become the club's next major sale if their valuation is met.
