Title: Spain Vs Belguim
Post by: Steeeeeeeeeed on July 10, 2026, 07:35:33 PM
Just setting my alarm for 10pm, might as well have a couple of hours sleep.

It's gonna be another Spanish Snorefest isn't it.

Nothing against Belgium have always liked them but have thought if anyone can beat France it's Spain.

With the only point of interest being Michael Oliver's performance.

I want Belgium to win. I thought Spain played much better football at the Euros than they do now. Now, it's just boring, endless passing with zero entertainment value. I think they're missing Nico Williams big time.

The Sofi stadium is outstanding, has a capacity of 70,000, but for big events can be raised to 100,000.

If only we had a striker that Castagme
could cross to

So that's one assist by a Fulham player this WC and one goal by Diop. Has there been others?

We need a striker with good movement in the box. Jiminez read the game well but Muniz not so. Hopefully we'll recruit a striker that ticks all the boxes.

What an excellent half from Castagne

I think that is Timmy's 2nd assist in the WC. When you see that and Jimenez scoring great headers, it does make you wonder how this combo wasn't utilised more for us last season.

Perhaps we should buy De Ketelaere

Nobody has said it so I will , just my opinion by the commentator isa breath of fresh air , all comments relative to what was happening . Don't know who he was but very good I thought.

It was an instinctive follow up from Merino. Keepers often get away with spills like this and recover the ball.

Really dislike the way Spain are playing in this tournament. I also dislike Yamal, even more so after those reports about his 18th birthday party.

I want France to beat them in the semis, for sure.

Just woke up, more than 1 goal is a surprise.

Sad to see Spain go through but it sets up what might be an interesting clash of 'styles' with France in the Semi.

There was a handball in the closing stages by a Spanish player in their area. Did this go to VAR?

It did not go to VAR, because the arm was not in an unnatural position and the distance between the ball when shot and the arm it hit was very, very short. No VAR, few protests from Belgium, I think everyone more or less agreed on that.

Also, it doesn't count if it's not someone playing for Fulham FC
