You'd think the interviewer would have at least found out how to pronounce his first name correctly - note the stress on the first letter

Main Positives:
Wants clear intention in the summer market with high level transfers and earlier the better. (But his laugh there seemed to suggest he knows the history here or will have discussed it with the owners)
Wants a culture and clear brand of attacking football with high intensity in the press.
Has a winning mentality and will expect that of his players.
Has a belief in his methods and seems like he wont change so with a new striker it will be an exciting season of attacking football.

Wait until we are a couple of months into the new season. He's saying all the right things right now because he's been given another crack at managing a club. He was sacked from his last appointment after falling out with the entire Real Madrid squad. So don't hold your breath.
Not listened yet but must be better than the first interview with Alan Dicks when I realised how dreadful he was.
Not sure I learned anything at all, apart from the subtitle machine finding him an even greater challenge than Marco Silva. His success is going to be highly dependent on players we haven't signed yet. Medium to long term, if he gets the backing it could be more than fine. Short term, I fear a bumpy ride if the senior pros don't buy in to whatever he has in mind.

Thats absolutely not why we got sacked, he didn't fall out with the whole squad at all and these problems were way before him, hence Perez going drastic and getting Mourinho .
In regards to the players he fell out with, they are some of the ones who also caused drama under Alonso, hence the club deciding to sell or not renew their contracts.

Dani ceballos - already gone
Carreras - for sale, mourinho wants him gone .
El pais( one of Spains oldest media publications ) had a whole story in regards to deteriorating dressing-room culture across roughly two years, including the periods under Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso and how Arbeloa couldn't do anything as the team was already in fighting.

I think he came across well. He´s obviously an ambitious,intelligent young coach who was thrown into a fire-fighting role in the first team at Real Madrid and unsurprisingly came up short. It's a good opportunity here for him to bring through younger players into an already promising squad, and make a name for himself as a top head coach by taking us on to the next level.

Agree, a lot of it seemed generic and media trained - He's come from Real Madrid after all (as a player and coach). It's a shame we don't get more authenticity these days, but have to go with it.
He didn't put a step wrong in many ways, though his desire to get players in early will obviously be a point to watch out for, because the Khan's may have brought him in hoping they can default to later deals as always. It's our biggest weak point for me, our transfer policy, and one we really need to sort out properly.

what a stupid ill informed comment
He comes across as a very genuine guy, making a considered effort to get his key points across in English. Although he comes across as likeable and amiable, his comments suggest he is also very determined, positive and aggressive in mindset. I liked his ethos of fighting to win and when under pressure continuing to fight for a result. We have a good team that have shown they can be great when confident and encouraged to play forward and we have a strong academy. Attitude is a powerful indication of individual and team success. I wish him the very best in coaching and developing the Fulham guys to achieve their individual and team best and some brilliant results this season
It will be interesting to see how many of the team that finished the last game actually start the first game
Let's be honest, you can't learn much from interviews. Silva was always grumpy yet he's been one of our best ever coaches, Ranieri was much more positive but he was disastrous for us.
Arbeloa seems easier to understand than Marco for me 🤷

A real low point for Fulham. Although we avoided relegation, 1990/91 arguably my least favourite season. Really poor football (less than a goal a game) and appalling atmosphere on a match day. Fans badly divided between those who supported the board signing the Cabra deal and those against.

I saw the interview, he seems a perfectly decent person but we learned nothing (I didn't expect we would because it is far to early for anything more and in the end this is a bit of necessary PR).

We need new players and we need them early... how often have we heard that from our managers?
If we do not support him in a way he wants/needs to be supported this could go wrong quickly and he will have a built in excuse.
Just a couple of things to add. He's got four youngish kids. Must have been a difficult sell to them. Leaving their schools and mates. I know managers travel but must have been more than a passing thought when weighing up taking the job.
Second thing Alvaro's got 7.8 million (and 1 now) followers on Insta. Club needs to get him modelling this seasons kit.
Not only will we see exciting football at CC but AA may be the man whose shirt sales fix the Hammy End Bogs!
