Really sad news, lost his battle to cancer
RIP Kevin
Thanks for all the memories
Such a shame. Brilliant football man. Was a Trailblazer for sure.
Rest in Peace Kevin, just loved your time with us at Fulham.
A good man, great footballer. RIP
A big part of our journey back to better football and he was such a great player himself . Very sad news sleep peacefully kev .
RIP Kevin, would love to have seen him back at the Cottage one last time.
Terribly sad day.
RIP King Kev.
Very sad news. RIP Kevin
RIP Kevin Thank you.
RIP King Kev. His period in charge was too short but great fun.
Really sad. A genuine person, who said that based on his own experience as a child he would not leave a situation until everyone wanting an autograph would get one.
::candle::
Thoughts with family and friends ...
Did some lovely work for Fulham, before England came calling.
::scarf:: Rest in Peace Sir Kev.... ::cry::
RIP Kevin. One of the best. It was an honour for him to be part of our great club.
an actual legend of the game. RIP ::candle::
Modern football folk could learn a great deal from Kevin in terms of communicating with the fans.

I stood outside the cottage waiting for him once when I was about 8 and he happily came over and shook my hand. Seemed a kind man.
A players player and a supporters player.
A real English Warrior.
Rest in Peace Kevin.
Great guy, always optimistic and positive. A very talented palyer who worked hard at his game. RIP Kevin you are a huge loss.
Was one of the first few managers we had under the Al Fayed era and around the time I started supporting the club - was starstruck at the time as a kid that Fulham managed to convince him to be our manager, thought it was really cool and that he was such a good character! Miss characters like those. RIP, gave us some great memories
Very sad news
Thank you for all you gave and did for us
Thoughts, love and prayers with your family
RIP King Kev
Pretty shocked by the news really, very sad, I think Kevin is one of the very best personalities in football of all time, loved his positive attitude.
He did great things at Fulham of course.
A Fulham fan is on Talksport right now talking about his time here, he was a young kid aged 9 and wrote a letter to Fulham asking for a signed photo, he got a a personal letter back from Kevin inviting him down for a day to meet the team, and said that Kevin was just great. He still has a photo of himself sitting on Kevin's shoulders, waving a Fulham scarf from that day.
Talksport is good at times like this, lots of people calling in with stories and tributes.
Rest In Peace KK
Legend is a word banded around for a lot of people, some undeserving.
However, for King Kevin, the use of the word legend is insufficient in my eyes.
He was an outstanding footballer, a great character and I was absolutely behind him when he challenged Fergie in his title run in with Newcastle.
He will be sorely missed.
A sad loss. A treasured memory is of shaking his hand in the centre circle.
As a kid in the 70s, Keegan was the real Roy of the Rovers Superstar.
Liverpool had to ban him from the TV series of the same name because he was so competitive he injured himself falling off in the cycle race.
Sent off fighting with Bremner in the Charity Shield preseason 'friendly'. Always appeared totally committed in whatever he did.
European footballer of the year twice when playing for Hamburg when most English players would not have considered playing overseas.
When I first met him at Fulham right from the off he was a genuinely friendly fella, had a few meetings and lunches with him.
What a great player he was! Can still see him darting in between the lines and scoring time after time for Liverpool and England. Thanks for the memories Kevin ::candle::
Holy crap. RIP, you were an amazing player a great manager.
Very sad news. Great player, manager and character in the game. RIP
Great footballer.
Great man.
Broke many moulds, eg playing in Germany and I believe the first British player to win the Ballon d'Or (twice at that).
His competitive and fearless spirit was evident on Superstars, yet a real 'man of the people.'
RIP, you did your family proud.
One of the games admired characters. Sad news RIP Kevin
Sad news, a great passionate footballer who did an excellent job for Fulham.I even had a Kevin perm in the late 70s. Thoughts to all his family and loved ones.
RIP Kev. You Brought new life into this Club and put us back on the Map.
What a guy
A hero of mine given he was one of the first managers I really remember watching us play under when I first started supporting Fulham. Really fell in love with fulham during that time and it laid the stage for what came after massively.
Such a passionate character and I still quote "I will love it if we beat them" to this day.
Rest well Kev, thanks for the memories
Very sad news. He may have only been at our club for a short period unfortunately but what a great time it was. Super Micky Adams started things off then King Kev took it up another couple of levels.
Geoff Horsfield said Kevin Keegan would make you feel 10 feet tall. A very inspiring guy.
sad news RIP ::candle::
Great player.
Good bloke.
Loved wherever he went.
...actually that last one is not entirely true. I went to Anfield for the match on the morning of the Grand National (1977 v Leeds I think). I was amazed that Keegan, although by far the best player on view, was getting dog's abuse from the Kop every time he went near the ball. This, it was explained to me, was because he had decided to go to Hamburg (for 4 times the money) at the end of the season. This treatment, despite what he had achieved for Liverpool, struck me as being distictly lacking in class.
One of the proper real deal legends and a wonderful character. Feel privileged to have had him at our club. Division Two Fulham manager and England manager as a side hustle - what a wonderfully surreal memory! Very sad this one. RIP.
Terrible tragic news. Kevin Keegan one of Fulham's greatest managers and a legendary footballer, taken so early.
He will be remembered and missed forever.
A perfect FFC fit I feel he loved the club and even suggested running both England and Fulham, what a great guy ! R.I.P.Mr Keegan!
As far as 'we've made it' moments, Kevin Keegan in a black and white Adidas Fulham tracksuit will never be beaten.
Even if we never quite were the Man U of the south, whilst Keegan was our manager it really felt like we were

I recall our former owner gifting shares in FFC to Kevin to show his gratitude. I thought it was a marvellous gesture but read somewhere later it was all smoke & mirrors.
Martyn Tyler will be on TalkSport from 11pm for at least an hour talking about KK
RIP Kev, and thank you!
Couldn't believe it when Mickey was sacked, so that Kev could take over.
RIP Kev, you meant a lot to us fans. Sympathies to his nearest and dearest.
Terribly sad.
He was a top man.
RIP
Many memories but the two that stick out are meeting him at York away when waiting for the team bus to arrive Kevin pulled up in his Range Rover and the other was at the end of the game at Villa Park after knocking them out of the FA Cup. What an absolute legend and a great man, thoughts to his family and friends. RIP
A great player, a great manager and a great person. Very instrumental in Fulham being in the premier league. Loved watching King Kevs Fulham
Remember when Mo described his as 'our gift to the nation' after he accepted we were fighting a losing battle to keep him. Courageous both on and off the pitch. One of the few brave enough to stick his head above the parapet and speak out against women in football. A life well lived, RIP King Kev.
A truly great footballer and a good and decent man.
It was wonderful having him at our club!
I remember him on Superstars when he had a bad accident on his bicycle but insisted on carrying on. What a character. Thanks for the memories Kev.
Rufus Brevett on 5 live talked about how he was bought by the club. Kevin Keegan rang him up and introduced himself as the manager of that big club down the road from QPR. He explained how Fulham was going somewhere and Rufus signed.
RIP Mr Keegan. Condolences to his family. May your God bless you all.
I will never forget Kevin's first interview stood with Ray Wilkins at the Hammersmith end of the Johnny Haynes stand. I could not believe it.
Condolences to all Kevin's family.
As player and manager he provided so many moments that stay in the memory. Indelible.
He came from a time where young lads weren't shielded by academies, playing a hundred times for Scunthorpe before being picked up by Liverpool. That would have been character-building and what a character it built. All based on the transparency of his love of football.
