If we sell Muniz and not bring in a replacement then he'll be one to watch but at this rate he's probably not getting much game time

King is already established in the first team.

Didn't watch the last friendly but he started didn't he? Would be interested to know how he did. He's still raw but has all the attributes to be a top player.
I didn't watch the last game either but vs Al Ahli he caused them a lot of problems. He definitely should get a lot more game time than he did last season, let's hope he flourishes under AA.
He's a solid forward to be honest. Should have scored in his last pre season appearance but put it over the bar.
Tall, strong, mobile and talented with the ball at his feet. If AA did go 442 as he did at times at RM, then JKA may be good fodder for Garcia.
If not, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a fair few longer appearances this season or cup starts.
The clips from his U21 performances really impressed me. Quick, tall (but not seen him use his height aggressively ) he can finish with both feet. I could well believe he will be No 2 sometime soon
I really want Rodrigo to make it but, even my patience is being tested. Now 'til Xmas could be a defining period.
He's impressed for our U21s and in pre-season, so I see no reason why he can't kick on in the first team this season. He's a cheap young player with time on his side so I'm more than willing to be patient with him. Realistically Garcia won't be playing 90 minutes each week, and it's extra pressure on Muniz to perform.
Not often I agree with the BBC, but I have a sneaking feeling they may be onto something here.
When we first got him on loan, it seemed we just might be getting a future gem as Bayern got him to sign a new contract first and then inserted a buy back clause, so they clearly knew something. His development up until Bayern was pretty impressive.
Let's be honest, he clearly wasn't a Marco signing, so he was never going to play him much, but again well done to the club for persevering despite this and signing a young lad who might just have a very high ceiling.
And while we're rubbing our eyes in disbelief at our RM signings, let's not forget that little old Fulham signed a player from Bayern Munich, which is also a bit of a step up for us.
So to get him for 5m in the end too I think counts as phenomenal business and is a good indication that the club were already thinking about buying younger prospects with a potential sell on value whilst Marco was still here and mostly only playing older more established players.
Of all the exciting stuff possibly in store this season, my left field punt is that JKA is now used properly and turns out to be a bit of a star. Here's hoping...
They say a change is as good as a rest. AA will see Rodrigo in a different way to Marco. Also JKA is starting a new season with a new manager with the whole squad. He's not the new boy fitting in.
Fate may have given us the shift we needed. Haven't felt this excited looking forward to a new season for a while.
JKA took a bit of flak from some of the Fulham youtube pundits last season. He could turn out to be absolute bargain buy.

I think with his pace and AA seemingly playing more narrow he could get time playing on the left of the striker. He scored goals from that side for the u21s last season.
I also saw he was the FA fantasy league's top Fulham pick last week. Its a bit early to be picking a fantasy team I think but JKA was a nice cheap option at 4.5m.

He definately looks well integrated now but tbh felt I could see that in some changing room bits end of last year having settled in. I think he probably feels excited by Arbeloa given his propensity to play youth, but he always looked an enigma who's play style is laid-back but can suddenly produce something magic out of nowhere...and I don't think that was what Silva wanted to see.
Watched every time he played for u21s and for me he really has something about him, just needs games to develop and I do wonder if he's gonna get enough this year for that with Garcia in the door now. So many games where marco insisted on playing Raul for the full 90 when he was clearly knackered last year that got justified by the odd goal here and there which meant we persevered with that...but so many times I felt Jonah should have been given some time to develop and show himself but got left feeding on scraps.
As for the article - the obviously wrote it before yesterdays announcement or they'd obviously have selected Garcia or Palacios
Think we need to bare in mind that JKA has only just turned 19. He's exceptionally young. The fact he's even knocking on the door at that age of a PL club is something to be optimistic about.
Garcia is 3 yrs older, and only had his breakthrough season at 21 really, which would give JKA two more seasons before anything could meaningfully be expected of him. And he may produce before then.
JKA was severely limited in time last season, playing 17 mins in the 5-4 loss to Man City and 12 mins in the 3-0 loss to Arsenal. Most of the rest of his game time were as a late sub playing 7 mins, 5 mins x2, and 2 mins once.
If anything, it was a seemingly very deliberate easing in last season for JKA more than anything, and the club obviously saw enough to keep him on and give him a long-term contract.
If he pushes on with the competition from Garcia and levels-up, we could potentially have the Spanish number 9, and the Swedish future national 9 in our ranks - still a way to go, but still

I think he's been given so many chances but alas whilst I'm never going to hammer any player I really think he's championship level and if he goes I wish him well .
so far we have not seen him do anything worthwhile and I am surprised we have kept him. but he is quick so let us see what this season holds for him.
He will get more minutes under AA no doubt even with muniz on the same bench. Think he's a great talent.
