Title: NFR: Infantino sorry
Post by: iansthailand on August 06, 2026, 10:58:58 AM
Infantino says he's sorry for his errors. These were not errors they were calculated greed and a belief that he was above FIFA rules and common decency. Now he has the backing of his cohorts at the top of FIFA. What a motley crew are running our wonderful game. They should be hung, drawn and quartered, tarred and feathered and various other forms of punishment too horrible for this forum. Rant over. Off for my Chicken Salad. COYW as TK would say.

He is the president and there are I believe 8 vice presidents, him and everyone of those vice presidents that backed him needs to go. We need to find an ex player who also has the qualifications to be president and also some people to represent the fans interest.

Infantino is a snake oil salesman and should be locked up.
He is a stench under the nostrils of the game of Association Football. He is not sorry for making mistakes, he is only sorry he got caught. People were made to join the Foreign Legion for committing far less.
He looks what he is, a vile individual.
The fact that he is still currently in a job at FIFA shows how deep the rot has set in, as there are other creatures amongst the herd who should also be expunged along with the Mekon look alike.
I propose Infantino should be offered the roll of Toilet Attendant at the Hammy End as he would be in good company with the local residence who thrive in these premises.

Wasn't Michele Platini involved with Blatter and got investigated for fraud?

Pardon my pedantry, but after Infantino being hung, drawn and quartered, none of which I have any issue with so long as it happens in a public space, Wembley Stadium perhaps, what would be the point of tarring and feathering the remains afterwards?
Or have I stumbled upon a particular fetish of yours?

Tarring and feathering was intended to shame the victim, Infantino is unaware of that word appearing in his personal vocabulary.

Now if you were to suggest ramming the remains into a smoothbore 12pdr cannon and firing them over towards Kew Bridge as a mark of disdain for the man, then count me in.

You are of course right Mr. Rupert the tarring and feathering should come first.

obviously they need to be of a good character but there needs to be a representative that has the best interests of the game. After what he's come out and had the balls to say i would like to see Luis Figo as president and probably Samuel Eto and Arsene Wenger as vice presidents.

Wenger's been backing Infantino's plans though. Is he really squeaky clean?

On a pedantic note, an 'error' is 'something done which is considered to be incorrect or wrong, or which should not have been done'.

The scale of Infantino's erring in this instance may be sizeable, but to describe them as 'errors' is not a misuse of the word.

The bloke is as bent as a banana, he doesn't know the meaning of the word truth.
The whole of FIFA are a Den of Vipers.
You will find more honest and upstanding people in Wormwood Scrubs.

The latest severance pay allegations do not make UEFA look any better than FIFA. Do we need them? I an beginning to yearn for the old 4 nations matches. John Charles,Ivor Alchurch, Danny Blanchflower,Jimmy McIlroy, Denis Law and the ghastly Billy Bremner. Those were the days, long before advertisement sponsored water breaks.

He's sorry..............oh well that's alright then.

On second thoughts I prefer the tarring, feathering, hanging, drawing, quartering etc. And for good measure Rupert's smooth bore cannon for the remains. And if there's anything whatsoever left after all that then seal it in a cardboard box and store it underneath the world's biggest nuclear waste site.

Yeah, the ninth century was a vintage era although I prefer the 15th century

Got to disagree with you. It was a great week of football. Watching Best, Ron and Wyn Davies, Franny Lee, Chivers. Loved it

Has to go... tournaments out of reach of the average fan, desire to make that the norm by wanting to provide a return to investors, Trump, Balogun etc.

Problem is, the African and South American countries will never vote him out because of the money and favours he gives them, and so a united UEFA boycott is the only way to get him out

But UEFA must be prepared to accept a schism if he stays put.I am not convinced that they are.

Happy to see the strength of feeling shared for Infantino here.

Utterly contemptible with no redeeming features. Knows he'll be a nobody overnight if he leaves post, and cares much more about himself than the global game.

Praying for his downfall, deserves no sparing and should be heavily sanctioned as well.

Infantino strategy has made him extremely strong.  By positioning Europe as the big boys holding onto the money he has the votes from Africa & probably lots of other Confederations & "smaller" football countries.

Even Mexico & Argentina have given their support when their Confederations have condemned him.

I may be wrong but I do not think there are enough votes to oust him.

Organisations like this should have maximum terms for the top jobs. It may not resolve all issues but it does stop one person ruling for too long when history tells us that power eventually corrupts no matter who the person was to start with.

Apparently Mexico want to host club world cup in 2029, there's always an ulterior motive when people endorse Gianni.

It appears that the previous hosts for the Club World Cup was the USA.  For again going to another North American country such as Mexico would give rise to the suggestion there is some dubious decision making within FIFA procedures.

For such a 'prestigious' tournament, a transparent and level playing field is a must when choosing the host.
