...I appreciate that this post is firmly tongue in cheek, and I was as happy as Larry when he left, I think the problem with him was that he was appointed as a league manager when it was very clear that he wasn't management material. Northern Ireland had a good crop of players, and like most managers when they move on, they try to take with them the cream.
I think he should forget management and look at becoming a scout because the fact that he couldn't produce the 'glue' to get the team to work together effectively, he did bring in some good players, and they are firmly entrenched in the current first team squad.
Yes he bought the odd 'lemon' but so do many managers, even good ones.
