As its you posting this I am mildly optimistic. Somebody else has said that our transfer business is not splashed about the rumour mill so if we get this one and its as quick as the Riise rumour to signing episode perhaps Jol just likes playing everyone along and we have a stack of talent waiting to signed up. With this type of player coming in at this price we could get a sqad revamp for the cost of Downings left boot.

We get De Nigris + cash, which seems a bit odd to me...they get Sally.
Salcido is considered one of the stars of the Mexican national team. Wouldn't mind a straight swap myself but I imagine all the big clubs in Mexico are vying for him.
Chaotic scenes on twitter....there are three versions:
1st: A swap deal De Nigris + cash for Salcido is set to be concluded
2nd: Fulham have had a loan offer rejected by Monterrey. De Nigris is furious because he wants the move.
3rd: De Nigris has confirmed that he wants to stay. Monterrey have rejected an offer from Fulham.
Everything depends on the CONSTANTLY DEBUNKED & UNFOUNDED rumor that Salcido wants to play for Monterrey. Give over, y'all!
