...according to Swissipedia ..."the 5th and 6th officials are all the bastard progeny of FUFA chairman Mr Blatt Sepper - they are the product of the 'sweeteners' (young local girls) provided by the local football associations around the world laid on for Mr Sepper so that he can produce the master race of FUFA officials and continue his reign of power for another reich 1000 years.

These officials, due to inbreeding, have various genetic disorders, such as colour blindness and insufficient visual cognitive capacity (which explains the 6' plus very blond Hangeland being booked for the much shorter dark haired Kelly). They also have a tendency to wander on and off the pitch aimlessly sometimes getting in the way of play. Many too are afflicted by being mute, hence they tend to get ignored by the other officials. Rumours abound that many of these 5th and 6th officials have developed an evolutionary pouch which they feel an irrevocable primeval urge to stuff with manilla envelopes prior to matches.

It is also rumoured that some of Blatt Sepper's offspring are undergoing bionic surgery, being implanted with electronic circuitry and lasers in case the increasing demand for goal line technology renders the extra officials redundant and thus covering his options"...

In all the games ive seen them using the extra officials, ive never seen any of them make one decision. Even if there was a 'did the ball cross the line' incident, im sure they'd bottle it and leave it up to the ref. These officials are a waste of time and money.
