It's their derby too this weekend and I thought I'd ask the board who they would prefer to see win, if you have any preference at all.

There's no need to be a smart arse. I did say if there is any preference at all.
Everton, quite like Moyes.

Fair question, Mr. Ruminant.
I like Moyes, so I go with the bluebellies.
Watch out for Grandma as you go, sir.
Everton.
If only to debunk the King Kenny myth a bit further, and make his losing percentage worse than Roy's when he was in charge.
Bore draw means less dickheads out on the town, so neither.
I want fellaini to win, good player.
nil nil draw just want to see the American keeper, keep a clean sheet 096.gig... don't care about either team, although to be honest I probably would rather Everton. I see Everton as our level and still see the pool as a top 4 juggernaut.
Dichotomy – Do we support a team that wears blue or do we support a team who like us live in the shadow of a big spending, loud mouthed, up their own jacksy team who think that they own football?
On balance, I think I prefer Everton, but I have an idea that this is going to end in a draw.
PS When Billy Liddell played for Liverpool, he was the dog's wotsits. Not as good as Tom Finney but he was up there. Liverpool was a nice team back then 092.gif

I'll go with that!
I'm with Finny on this one.......COME ON YOU REDS lol lol lol.
Surely Everton. Does this question even need to be asked?
Things shape you when you are young don't they?
My earliest years attending The Cottage coincided with Fulhams promotion to the Prem/Division 1 in 58/59 season.
Liverpool were a 2nd division side for 4 (?) seasons after our promotion so were a small nondescript northern outfit unlike the mighty whites lording it in the top division.
So Everton for me as Liverpool continue to act like a provincial club dismissing the chap that would have bought them back to where they feel they belong...eventually
0-0 with 2 sent off from each side.

As will I, though in truth I couldn't give a damn either way.
"Dichotomy" Corked Hat? Make up your mind. Its either one or the other. You can't half both playing for Everton.
This post reminds me that we haven't seen Bill on here for a while. Bill is probably the only "blue" supporter we appreciate.
as I'm a northerner I have a soft spot for Everton, always have had, great history, old historic stadium and there fans seem to know what they are talking about.
I had to go back north a few weeks ago for a family funeral and at the wake I got talking to a few people about football-as you do.When I let slip I was a season ticket holder at Fulham alot of the Liverpool fans couldn't understand why I didn't go and watch a "bigger" team .A lot of the Everton fans where saying things like"good footballing team Fulham"and "good set of fans-know there stuff" and "propper football club that Fulham" so don't knock the Toffee's too hard because the ones I talked to think highley of us. 092.gif 082.gif

There are plenty of the Red side who are decent folk, knowledgeable about their football and aren't patronising though. I'm glad they've moved on from chatting about Roy as it was doing my head in whenever I tell someone I'm Fulham. The Evertonians are alright although there are A LOT who have a massive chip on their shoulder.
...as mentioned Bill - aka 'Licker' is an Everton fan who I usually try and meet up with, and as RSR mentions, some of their fans appreciate our similar history:-
A: both formed from church clubs.
B: both being the oldest clubs in their city.
C: both had stadiums designed by Archibald Leitch.
D: both having their nearest rivals ground a bricks throw from each other.
I know this will upset my other mate Bill (wadey) but of the two I prefer Everton...
can't stand Liverpool and their fans, Everton please
clean sheet from Howard, so I'll go with Everton
I've never subscribed to the idea that, as a Fulham supporter, I must hate all other teams.
I've spent a bit of time in Liverpool, like the city and have enjoyed both Anfield and Goodison.
I prefered Goodison, with (as LB11 pointed out above) its Leitch style and Everton played classy and stylish football. They had a blonde Scots forward called Alex Young, with many Haynes-like qualities. The fans called him "The Golden Vision", which I still think is one of the best nicknames ever given to a player.
Always respected Liverpool because they sussed out how to play in Europe and vanguarded an amazing era of success for English clubs.
In the end I prefer the team we are going to be challenging most with to lose, so on this occasion its Liverpool to win.

+1 probably liverpool to win because everton is who we will be up against in the table.
:023:
The School of Science. Easily. Plus love Tim Howard.
But as others have said don't really care a whole lot.
it's always worth watching, though, so I'll be up at 0630 on Saturday to check it out.
Everton, because a Belgian plays there !

I think he's Moroccan in origin..
Apparently his younger brother, ********, is even better. :58:
Fellaini is Moroccan. I don't know the origin of his name though. And he is one of my favourite players too. Very invisible but very important :)
With hair like that Mr Sipwell he certainly isn't invisible. :005:
Liverpool for me...Billy Liddell was the main man and consoled my Dad when we lost to the cheats in 1975....some great memories of King Billy in my childhood.
We are the whites
And yes Corked Hat...not a match on Tom Finney who in Liddlepool's opinion was the best of all!
We are the whites
