As a season ticket holder I go to every home game. I have been away to Arsenal, Man u and Liverpool. When Fulham play away (unless they are on TV) I can't listen to the radio. I don't want to know how we are doing. The only way I want to hear the result in on Sports Report on Radio 5 Live. I turn on the radio at 5 o'clock and wait for the score to come. Like last Saturday when it came up as Sunderland 0 ( I knew that we had not lost) Fulham 0.
Does any one else have an unusual way of finding out the away score.
If I am at home I regularly check the BBC website, FOF, and also try and watch it over the internet.
If I am "out and about", I will check the BBC website via my BlackBerry.
Nothing unusual really...bog standard I suspect.
Same as Burt, with smart phones now you can get goal updates within a few seconds anyway.
For those interested the best android app (and I have tried a few) is FotMob Soccer Scores for upto date info.
I'd like to know as well Mr Swan, because we never get a result away.
I watch in the southen belle pub if I don't go

I gave that a go last season. I think it was Utd away. It was nice to be surrounded by so many locals supporting their LOCAL team!
In all honesty, I really struggle to watch a match on TV or on Internet. For some reason, it's so much less stressful when you're there. I guess I miss about a third of the matches over a typical season, and I generally try and pretend they're not happening. I'll potter around the garden or go for a walk/shop. But around about 4.30pm, my resolve breaks and I dive indoors for the agony of watching Gillette Soccer Saturday.

Does this work for Europa goals too? Not really found any trouble finding apps that tell me about Prem games but not so Europa.

Yes, you just click the match(s) of your choice and it lets you know when a goal has been scored. Has lineups, realtime table etc.
I'm on line throughout an away match watching a feed if possible.
It is weird how much more stressful that is compared to being at a match.

Thanks, just downloaded that.
I watch it in the Southern Belle too.

Had such a good time there, I'd be tempted to do home games there if they showed them. I know it's sacrilegious but who needs clappers, piss-weak lager and queues when you can have Orchard cider, that babe in the tartan trousers picking up your empties and being able to pop out for a cigarette?

Ha! I hear you man. :dft012:
With you Scrumpy..when your at the game its far less stressful as you are seeing proceedings unfold..its like you have a say in whats going on....gotta be the preferred option where at all possible.
Tend to avoid radio or TV contact until half time and then tune in at about 4.40 for update....worse these days as games used to be over by 4.45...nowdays (on the rare occasion of a 3 o clock Saturday fixture) it's nearly 5 when you breathe that sigh of relief that we have obtained a 0-0 away draw!
We are the whites
I go down the allotment or out for a walk during an away match as I get to stressed out about it and leave my phone at home. Then as soon as I get back and the match is finished I look at the result, holding my breath while I look it up on my smartphone.
I have a season ticket so go to most of the home games and find that stressful until the final whistle blows but not as stressful as listening and watching an away match on tele or radio
Must admit if I have access to find out how a game is going I will use it.
Always in trouble with the other half if we are out during a game and I'm looking at my phone.
I can't not watch it if I have half a chance. I even had the newcastle away game stream on my phone, in the car on the dashboard, while driving back from some bloody shopping trip.
If I'm not actually there, be it home or away, I try to ignore it and get on with life. Easier at the start and end of the season when the daylight allows dog walking up to 445, or 545 on Sundays. If I'm at home though, I do find it hard not to tune into Jeff.
I really wish I could lie and say I just wait for the last 3 minutes of MOTD to find out, but in truth it's generally a Stelling-Fest at Sheepskin Towers.

Would you be able to do so? Not knowing the result and wait for the MOTD summary?

Different of course when we are playing but I try to do this when we're not, kind of adds to the excitement of each game.

Now, Mr. Sips, when I was YOUR age, there was never a question of waiting for MOTD to find out the scores. One DID have to check one's pools coupon at 5 o'clock on Saturday.
If I'm out and about some friendly smart ass will always give me the good news that were 2-0 down already :012:
Usually ignore that these days. The buggers tell me that even if its 1-0 to us.
I get people text me the latest score, usually when we are down, that's why i leave my phone at home
From the concurse, drinking watery lager and crying since halftime.
