This time last year we had
15 points from 15 games. Same as this year.
But we had one worse goal difference and were 3 places lower.
Calm.

So, no improvement despite the facts (a) we haven't had our best forward injured for months, (b) our second best forward is fighting fit after two seasons of various serious injuries and (c) nearly £20m spent.

doesn't mean that history will repeat itself.
And we were not playing Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal over the holidays.
Every time I see this brought up as some sort of vindication of Jol or trashing of Hughes, I say the same thing: during the first part of last season we were without AJ, Zamora, and Dembele for long stretches due to injury. All of these guys have been available for most of our matches. Last season for most of the first half our strike options were Eddie Johnson and Joe Kamara.
It's chalk and cheese, guys.

Yes yes and yes. Sorry but this all true. So why don't they stop making excuses for Jol. Make them stop.
