Title: Pog in Russian Euros squad
Post by: Brede Butter Pudding on May 11, 2012, 11:31:43 AM
Just announced on the BBC.

'There are some familiar faces for Premier League fans in Russia's Euro 2012 squad, which includes Andrei Arshavin, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Pavel Pogrebnyak.'

Well done the lad, even more reason to stay with us now, we've done him a favour getting him back into the international set up, time he does his bit and commits long term.

What number is he going to be? I fancy getting a Russian shirt with his name in it

Am I being churlish in hoping that he under-performs, and keeps the potential interest from other clubs to a minimum...?

Hopefully we'll have him signed up before the tournament starts

Indeed - there's a few weeks before the whole thing starts aren't there? Bet his agent will stick an oar in though, don't they always?

I hope he is on fire at the euros and continues his form into next season

I'd be surprised if he even starts, which he won't.

He's been third or fourth choice for a long time.

Arshavin and Kerzhakov will be nailed on starters. They're more likely to keep with Zenit's midfield/attack and if fit, move Dzagoev in.
