Title: Is Flirpit still about? I could do with some help regarding Wolfsberg
Post by: FatFreddysCat on April 05, 2010, 11:07:44 PM
I noticed that it is cheaper to get your train ticket in advance, how do i go about that? And much longer does the slow train take than the fast (ICE?) train from Hamburg, and how much cheaper is it. Thanks in advance. Have you tried getting in contact with Fulham and explaining your situation regarding getting a ticket for our end? Last i heard we had plenty of unsold tickets left.

Hi guys, I live in Germany about 20mins from Wolfsburg so fantastic draw for me! Here are your flight options:

Ryanair to Hamburg Lubeck - 3hrs train to Wolfsburg

Ryanair to Bremen - 2h30 train to Wolfsburg

Easyjet to Berlin Schonefeld - 2h ICE to Wolfsburg - 4h on slow trains

AirBerlin/BMI to Hannover - 40mins train to Wolfsburg

Train Ticket options;

Trains from Bremen & Hannover -

Niedersachsen Ticket for 28euro which allows 5 people to travel throughout Niedersachsen for a day on anything apart from IC or ICE trains

Trains from Lubeck & Berlin -

Quer-durchs-Land-Ticket is 37euro for 1 person and then 5euro for each additional person up to 5 people, so 57euro for 5 people. Same deal as Niedersachsen ticket in that you can't use IC/ICE trains but can travel throughout Germany on this ticket!

Cheers for the offer but I came back for the weekend and the nice lady in the ticket office sorted me out, I will be there in my England Zamora shirt! Can't wait now it should be mental.

i just came from Hamburg (lubeck) airport this morning on slow trains, left at 9.18 went past wolfsburg at 12.30 - going lubeck-luneberg-gifhorn-wolfsburg ICE would be hamburg-hannover-wolfsburg and would take about 2 hours. i'm not sure how you can buy tickets in advance seeing as you're in England but there might be a pick-up facility or something.

See you out here!
