They're not a team yet. That's Sparky's big problem. If he can 'make' a team, then Top Ten is definitely a realistic option.
I think he is good, but i still remember the problems he had here until the alledged chat by Murph and the lad at New Year.
While QPR have certainly made more "exciting" signings this off-season, I agree with those saying they have to get together as a team. Fulham have been fine-tuning their system for the last few seasons and when it's being followed by the personnel we're a force to be reckoned with by virtue of the players understanding how to play together. QPR will have some growing pains to come out of before we can say they're a real threat. We on the other hand have a solid system in place and our team has had time to gel with various players coming in over the course of the last 2 years.
I can sort of understand the pessimism surrounding our club right now...but on the other hand we aren't a one or two player team. I still think we'll do fairly well this year...perhaps top 12 is a good result to hope for?

I have said it before and I say it now Mark 'Sparky' Hughes is a great manager, his personality may stop him from being a brilliant manager but............................ I do not know why you are surprised, he will always do very well

Pretty much on the same level I think.
squads are about the same they have more depth though and a natural goalscorer in cisse
QPR seem to be in over their economic heads and Sparky won't have them playing well till January. Frankly he didn't do all that well with us until he listened to Murphy and his time at Citeh was just ok with the talent he had and dollars to spend. They have a few better players now but they won't come together till second half of next season given how he manages and with so many new faces. They defo won't be relegated however, it will be interesting to see how they sustain the salaries they must be paying now over the next couple of seasons.
I game to the PL later but his Blackburn teams seemed a bit lighter on talent than what he has at QPR now. Meaning he seems to excel with a bit more of a physical team like he had a Blackburn.

They will finish above us this season ... and possibly even NEXT season. Then their profligate spending will come home to roost and, around 5 seasons from now, they'll be in L1 playing for the Johnstone Paints Trophy.
I think HD is right. We have to be prepared for this to happen and not get too upset if it does
i think HD we will be the ones most likely in league 1 if we carry on the way we operate. If we have let our best three players contracts get to one year and then find out all three are not close to signing extensions..not looking good is it. How are we able to buy quality replacments for them if we dont recieve a transfer fee of worth? Just a thought.
We still need a central defender, a murphy replacement and a striker. Also if dembele and dempsey go then they need to be replaced as well which the club im hoping has a backup plan for those two

Maybe HD is correct but who knows, qpr have purchased all these players but that does not mean they will be better than us, we have not purchased any players and again this does not mean we will be worse than them.
NOBODY knows who is going to do what and when until it happens.

Great!!! he's great at spending money and scouting his old clubs for players but that seems about it.

Barton just one example wheres its gone wrong and paying through the nose, cisse isnt far behind him on being a huge liability. zamora thinks hes better than he is, johnson is always sick note and getting on a bit, park from man utd nothing special but on huge wages. he got a couple of decent players but all hes doing is chucking money at them. it will ruin them in the end and i think they will finish bottom 5 with all there egos clashing.
We have been shrewd and tinkered slightly a few more additions and we are good to go.

But you forget qpr dont have their best three players in doubt. We at the moment have no idea how our team will line up after the window shuts to the point dempsey and dembele will not be playing. They are two big big players to just lose, we need the money to replace them. In fact dempsey will not be playing tomorrow and that worries me a lot. He was the man everyone tuned to last season. I still have doubts over ruiz and duff is not getting any younger. He sturggled in the euros and on the bench we have davies (again getting on now).
Fine then look at the youth and smile, we have it in abundance and their are some real gems there. If dembele and demps go, we replace them, simples. DONT PANIC there is no need yet.
