I'm a big fan if Rodallega and I like seeing him in the side even on the left he is a good player but I really like Kacaniklic and want to see him given a proper chance down the left to make that his own we have plenty of people who can play there but I hope to see Kacaniklic get regular run in team who else agrees?
Under optimal circumstances, with this roster, I think he is our starter on the left. But, given the opponent and our injury status, I think Jol thought the lineup and formation needed an adjustment. Wouldn't be too worried about Kaca.
Kaca has already had a decent run in the 1st team so what is the problem!!!
Benched on Saturday we are a far better team with better balance when he plays
i'm with JBH on this one, he's had plenty of game time. Would worry about going the over way and giving him too much and burning him out. Is great to know that Frei will be back soon and they can share the gametime, imagine either of those coming on fresh against tired legs.
He certainly offered more in a defensive way than Rodellaga. Poor Riise was getting run ragged by Silva in the first half and for me Rodellaga not tracking back was part of the reason they were given so much time/space to put the shot in that led to their first goal.
But saying that Kaca and Frei's pace is a great asset to have coming on and running against tired legs, got to say if I was a full back I wouldn't enjoy the site of them coming on with 20 mins left.
I need games and I do not even play. Seriously this is the problem with six substitutes as you have a lot of players who are ready to play and do not play. Young players need games to gain experience and knowledge but because they do not have these attributes make more mistakes. This is where team ethic is so important players must be able to rely on their mates, but the older and wiser players must watch out for the inevitable mistakes young players make.
Yes he needs games, but not too many. What's been our big problem over the years? Selling our good players to the big clubs (Man Utd in particular). With Ryan Giggs about a year away from calling it a day, Kacanikilic would be the perfect candidate to start running down the left flank for Utd for the next decade plus.
Use him, but not too much
That wide left position is becomming a difficult one to fill to the manager's satisfaction. This season we have already seen Kaca, Rodders and Ruiz tried. The noticeable point is that none of the three are strong in defence.
Hate to have to say it but it is not easy to fill Dempsey's shoes.

errrr wait what?
our left flank looks far more dangerous and offers more variety this year for the first time since Luis Boa Morte played there...
