Coming on for Ajax against Real Madrid in the Champions League. I still don't know why we didn't keep him.
I always though he was good, if ajax see somthing in him then couldn't we, I was hoping the dutch relation with jol would motivate him to get into the first team, wounder if he was homesick or wanted to try and get into the holland team by going to his homeland.

THERE! That's the reason, Playing for 2 time CL winners Ajax might improve his chances of playing for Holland then here, but who knows if he played for us and was amazing like Frei then who knows he could have been Fulham first Dutch international?
