Fulham Sign Manolev
Thursday 31 January 2013 19:00
Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Stanislav Manolev on loan until the summer of 2013 with an option of two further years.
The 29-year-old right-back, who joins on loan from PSV Eindhoven, is a Bulgaria international and has represented his country on 29 occasions.
Manolev moved to Litex Lovech from Pirin 1922 in 2005. He spent three seasons at Litex and helped his side to the Bulgarian National Cup in 2008, scoring the only goal in the final, as well as helping the team retain the trophy a year later in 2009.
He moved to PSV Eindhoven in 2009. He has made 76 appearances for the Dutch side and, last season, lifted the Dutch KNVB Cup when PSV defeated Heracles Almelo 3-0 in the Final.
Bad Fulham! He's 27 not 29! Trying to convince us he's on the verge of being another 30+.
Hopefully this doesn't mean the end for Sascha Riether, either now or the summer. Really liked the way he's been coming along

maybe he is here to play right midfield ahead of Sascha???
He'll be a replacement for Kelly. PSV first teamed so can't be half bad

"I came here to play but I know that I have to fight for my place," Stanislav told fulhamfc.com after signing. "I am looking forward to playing in the Barclays Premier League because I believe it is the best competition in the world.
"I know Martin Jol already because when I came to Holland, we played against Ajax when he was the coach. I hope that if I play well here then I will be able to stay beyond the summer."
100% ............reloaded .
Thanks for merging it. I had a quick look but didn't see another thread, must of missed it
Low risk transfer, good cover down the right and if he's any good, we can sign him in the summer.
Why sign a right back. We have the best right back in the prem league.

We sold Kelly, so we need a backup for Riether, I believe.
If he knows the Bulgarian for "Get your finger out", he may be a useful addition to the starting XI..... 086.gif
Manlove. That is all.
Good for squad depth he can play right back & right mid

Like almost half of our first-team squad, BOTH can walk away after the last whistle of the season.
Does both of almost half mean almost all? :-P
