Post by: JackyFulham90 on February 10, 2013, 10:21:27 AM
Duff & Ruiz just doesn't work they all both quality players but we need pace on the wings
Against Stoke I hope he starts Dejagah & Kaca

Duff should not be playing the full 90'y, start or end not both. Briggs should be tried on the wing, he is not a defender

Urby is now the best left winger at the club......

Duff for me should start on the right, he has been our main threat this season working well with Reither and also making good runs on the inside channel for diagonal long balls (think Norwich home and United away) I think he is our top creator. With Dejagah coming on 2nd half to add something different, he is stilly very raw and will come on a lot the more he plays.

Kacaniklic should be given a run of games again he is still young but he will only get better, we look far better when Dejagah & Riether link up down the right

I never want to see Ruiz on the wing again.
Dejagah has been in great form as of late, from his sub appearances against Man United and West Ham, to the last game vs Man U where he started. He also was the best player on the pitch in Iran's international mid-week.

Dejagah on the right and either Duff or Kacanklic on the left vs Stoke for me.

i think he knows that, but is just desperate to play both ruiz and berbatov, which is to the teams detriment.

Dejagah/Duff on the right
Emanuelson/Kacaniklic on the left

Ruiz should be nowhere near the wing
He is number 10 or sub

Wingers and full backs often need to be seen as a pair, the best pairings are complementary.  On this basis I would go; right side Reither and Duff, left side Richardson (nothing against Riise but Richardson seems to offer more threat going forward) and Urby.  For me the right is a no brainer the best left pairing is open for experimentation but please not Ruiz!

To be fair Dempsey wasn't a winger and that worked. What about David Silva? Santi Cazorla? It hasn't worked but I can see what Jol was trying to do.
