Instead of a whole squad to choose from, the club have narrowed it down to five, four of which have very plausible reasons for picking up the award this year. I've gone for Sascha Riether, although if I had a choice of 2nd and 3rd it would be Schwarzer and Berbatov.
Five choices:
Mark Schwarzer
Brede Hangeland
Sascha Riether
Giorgos Karagounis
Dimitar Berbatov

What? No Sidwell? No Ruiz?
Seriously, I hope that Karagounis doesn't win. I worry for my fellow Fulham supporters if he does.

There might be some amateur drama fans among us..."I say, his portrayal of a wounded soldier on the front line being shot countless times is unsurpassed"
I'm surprised and disappointed that we don't have a Scapegoat of the Year award.

That would go straight to Senderos, so no point holding a vote
Schwarzer for me. made some CRUCIAL saves this season
I've voted for SASCHA RIETHER BABY, SASCHA RIETHER OOOOOOOH!!!

I said award, rather than vote... :dft011:
Reither gets my vote. We need to make sure he's playing for us next season too.
...Reither...
I voted Berbatov. Essential goals and on some games his touches made it worth watching. (Plus if he got it I think (hope) he might decide him to stay) However if there was a second vote, Reither all day long for his professionalism on and off the pitch.
I've gone with Sascha.. I just love his attitude and he seems genuinely thrilled to be with us.. What's not to love about the guy ?
Sascha Riether.

No doubt in my mind. Sascha Riether.
Sascha all day long.
Sascha - but Karagounis for personality of the year!
Sascha most definitely.
Riether

I'm going with Riether, but would have no problems if Schwarzer won it.
I've loved watching Berba this season but Sasha has got my vote

That said, if there was a 'most heart' award I would give it to Karagounis without having to think twice.

I actually said the same thing when I first saw it. (http://forum.ea.com/uk/images/smilies/97ada74b88049a6d50a6ed40898a03d7.gif)
Riether, without any doubt.
I went with Berba, He has brought class and goals to the team and had no hesitation in signing when he could have gone elsewhere
Berba for me but Reither a very close second
Being objective... Karagounis showed the most character for Fans Player of Year 2012-2013. If you base it on all of our expectations when he came on board after the season has already began, he has exceeded them. Based on total games played, steady starter, salary he is getting, heart and leadership, he easily gets my vote. Swartzer would be my second pick, made some superb stops.
Berba - brilliant player, a genius at times, but...
Schwarzer - still a top keeper and has made really important saves, but...
Karagounis - loads of heart, energy and desire, but...
Hangeland - getting back to his best now and great he re-signed, but...
Riether - no buts. Gets my vote.
Sascha Riether for me...or as we call him "Herman the German"

Karagounis - loads of heart, energy and desire, but... he loves the odd tumble
Hangeland - getting back to his best now and great he re-signed, but... he was dodgy for the first half of the season
Riether - no buts. Gets my vote.
Another vote for Sascha from me
(only as Samba wasn't in contention :005:)

I voted Schwarzer as I knew everyone else would vote Sascha or Berba and the guy really deserves a praise...
Got to be Riether, no one else comes close.
Brede for me.
Riether, no contest.
Hangers and Scwartzer had dodgy spells mid season, Berbatov..too moody, Sidwell not included probably due to 2 reds. The ancient greek, don't quite understand that inclusion. Only at Fulham part time.
I think the inclusion of Hangeland, Schwarzer, and Karagounis are all down to the fact that there's really only two viable candidates and they have to have five nominees. I'm sure the first two would admit that this season was, by their high standards, pretty drab. And, as for the Ancient Greek, well, he should be happy with an Olivier Award.

Great trick by the club there. There's no way that trophy will fit in a suitcase to go back to Germany, so he'll just have to stay here with us.
Sascha got my vote too.
And so we move swiftly on to the sub-poll, which is 'Who's your favourite German White ?'
Please choose from..
Dirk Lehmann
KarlHeinz Riedle
Sascha
Voltzy
I think I know who's going to win this !! :dft011:
