That booed Taarabt when he came on. He's going to have to do something big to influence me to like him, so I am giving him the chance
Sorry, don't understand the logic of your welcome. :49:
Just joined the club, who cares where from. It's quite embarrassing booing a player that has just joined, a player we need desperately.
But he's not been given any chance if he's been booed on first stepping onto the field! Can't see it's being in any way helpful.
I'd hope for a better representation of the club from it's fans. Booing a new player doesn't fit with what I know about Fulham.
Just because of where he came from? Seems a bit silly.
Let's face it, every player wants to win as many trophies/play as many games/make as much money as possible. Very few (especially if they've come from Morocco) ultimately dream of playing for the likes of QPR or Fulham. They almost certainly don't feel any allegiance to them. It's just how things have worked out for them.
Taarabt saw QPR as the best opportunity available to him and now he sees us as the same. I don't see why we should boo him for having the misfortune of having spent a stint at Loftus Road - from the player's point of view there's really not all that much emotion/ill feeling involved. Just another job at another club.
Explain your infallible reasoning for booing a new signing.
Sorry mate but that's pathetic. Don't recall Duff or Lee Cook getting booed on their debuts.

So right, he has talent and can help to improve the team performance. To get the best from him he needs the support of the fans.

Well, don't go to fulham then. Yes, I don't like a lot of players we have, but I will never boo them, and if they do something good, I will applaud.
To boo a Fulham a player is appalling - especially on his debut.
I think it's pathetic booing a player wearing our beloved shirt regardless of where they came from!!!
thought the booing when he come on from some was an absolute joke.....

Well done in being an absolute moron as quoted from another thread. Who cares where he's come from if he wants to pay for us. If in 15 gems he gives nothing and disrespects the club then fine.
Fuming that Some people boo players on a debut for our club, not nice people.
Just adding to what everyone else is saying about you. Idiot.
Hope his excuse is that he had had a few, I could not believe it when it started, lucky enough it was not many and the cheers drowned most of it out
Booing a player who we have just signed on his first appearance for us at the Cottage is one of the most pitiful things I have ever heard in over forty years of supporting the whites. Can I suggest that the brain=dead morons who did this should not bother coming and watching Fulham any more for they are not wanted. Bad People!

RL63 I'm really surprised to see you say that you booed him. Why did you do that?
I must admit I was not happy when he said he would like to be back at QPR one day but not enough to boo the lad on his debut.
It really is a childish malarkey, booing your own boys in white.
Any new lad needs a big shout and this one in particular could
could be a really fun, creative force if he settles in and gets
his head calmed down. Don't we want talented players under
35 at the Cottage?

Do you boo Duff and Sidders every game because they played for chelsea?
Hahaha feeling sorry for OP
Took two of my Grandkids to today's game. This was Jack's third or forth game but it was Sophie's first and she asked me why were they booing a Fulham player, Gi just had to shrug and play it down. What an impression you and the other idiots left.
Why ? By that rational you'd boo all players who ever signed for us, unless they signed as schoolboys........prat !

So can we assume then, that if we are losing 1-0 at home to Arsenal in a couple of weeks time and Taarabt steps up to take a last minute penalty ,you'll be booing him and will cheer if he misses?
Booing a player on his debut. That should settle his nerves and boost his confidence. Class act!!
Far less classy than those pricks down the road and their treatment of Benitez. Poison from the stands will NEVER help the team.
Well done Riether Lightning, thats class, bet he cant wait for the next home game, all i can say is lucky i wasnt at the game as those booing would of got a mouthful from me, never booed in my life let alone a player making his debut.
All the time hes got a Fulham shirt on his back, hes one of us, and should be at least made to feel welcome on his debut
Very disappointing to hear this, would those booing be brave enough to do it to his face in the street, i doubt it

ok then, why wouldn't someone do it to his face then? And like I said, I won't boo him but for me the sooner his loan ends the better. His short term fix will stifle the progression of kaka mesca and frei and hurt us in the long run. Not to mention, I don't think prem teams should be allowed to loan any player in. Booing is something that children do at pantomimes.
Why grown men choose to do it at football matches I will never understand.
Cheers Logicalman, Lighthouse, Northern Cottager, looking forward to your company.
Here's to a decent season~ with a quick striker coming soon I hope. Personally I was disappointed we seemed to take little interest when Gary Hooper came available recently. Sort of movement the Berbs and Taarabts of this world like to see when they have the ball. Or am I overrating him. An old Southend fan mate of mine said he had a great can-do attitude. Someone like him ~just 25~ would be very welcome by the riverside eh? But who?

ive been to games when the whole crowd has booed at half time or at full time. Personally i feel if your not allowed to boo ( at the team, and not individuals) to show that you are dissatisfied with a performance then surely you shouldn't be allowed to cheer either.

Booing and abusing your own players is for me the single dumbest thing you can do as a home fan in my opinion. Literally the ONLY thing that accomplishes is to screw with your own players confidence and make them nervous, thereby hurting the entire side. Regardless of where they're coming from, its completely counter-intuitive and foolish

on loan. And what would of happened if we didn't sign him? We would be without a rb again. Look at all the players revolving through our doors, how can we build a team with stability for the future? We can't and if we can't afford to assemble our own team then we really don't deserve to be in the top league. Sooner or later our gamble with loans will really come back to haunt us. lol, I never send we had to spend billions, just buy our own players. Doesn't matter if we only spend a pound on them. I want a stable team that we can build on not one that has to change vastly every ten months
i know you didnt say we need to spend billions, i was putting words in your mouth like you did me to prove a point

but that said as well, I really like kaca frei and mesca so would rather spend the money on a cm. it's fair to say that we would have had to pay a mil or two for the loan like they wanted for remy plus his big wages for a position that was one of our strongest anyway. Kaka was immense towards the end of the season and will be much better than taraabt ever will be

i know you didnt say we need to spend billions, i was putting words in your mouth like you did me to prove a point
The idea of a loan like this, is to see them for a season without spending Millions on them and if they settle and works out , then wed sign them, what happened if we signed him and it didnt work out
Question for you Ben, if we signed him tomorrow, would you be happy and cheer him on?
yes because he would be our player and not a 10 month loan. And if he didn't work out you would just sell him.

Another Plonker!

Booing is something that children do at pantomimes.
Why grown men choose to do it at football matches I will never understand.
ive been to games when the whole crowd has booed at half time or at full time. Personally i feel if your not allowed to boo ( at the team, and not individuals) to show that you are dissatisfied with a performance then surely you shouldn't be allowed to cheer either.
It's called psychology ffs!! If you really get behind a team / person you lift them mentally. If you get on their backs they dont perform. It's really that simple!!
Have you never heard of 'the 12th man' in sporting terms? That's me and you and thousands of others as a collective

which bit?
The bit about kaka being much better than taarabt will ever be? Have you got a crystal ball. Taarabt totally ripped our team in both games against us, he has the flair we desberately at the moment were looking a bit flat now whether that will change with a fully for taarabt or a new pacey striker I don't know but what I think what the majority of people on this board is give the guy a chance and you never know he might score the winner against chelski. But I'm with you with the fact we should be relying on the loan market to get by eventually you will need to build a future squad.

just my opinion. He is younger is good with both feet and as far as I know doesn't have as bad a work ethic and attitude as adel has, which we have been told about by all of his previous managers bar jol. So maybe jol will get more out of him. But I really do think kaka will go to the top.plus I really like frei too. His pace and directness is a weapon we should be utilising at the end of games. He has torn Chelsea and arsenal a new one. And a lot of players terrorised us last season :)
