There must be major financial issues at the club. All the teams around us, and the promoted sides are looking or have spent 25m on players. We shipped out 9 or so players in the summer freeing up alot of wages there. The club has an additional 40m a year from the new TV deal.

There we are trying to heckle down Ajax from €3m for Enoh, looking to free up JAR's wages and pissing about with an extra £1m for Bent. Osvaldo has already been pretty much ruled out by Jol.

And today we were linked with Troy Deeney. Ambitious indeed....

1 million extra for bent? Villa want in the region of 7 million i read, thats 3 more than we have bid (according to reports).

Bent or Osvaldo would be good signings. osvaldo would be my preference as he is only 27, however i am scepitical that this deal will happen, s would take bent for 5 million

Troy who :49:

Plays for Watford. Scored a hat trick at the weekend & got their winner away at Birmingham the week before. Also spent time 'away' recently for kicking the sh*t out of someone in a club.

The Gazzetta dello Sport - admittedly for August 10 - says Roma want to offload him to Wolfsburg for 20m Euros but he wants to play for a 'top club'.  Hence his rejection also of Southampton (understandably) and Zenith St Petersburg.  So that leaves us nicely in the frame,  errr....

Il Corriere dello Sport for today says Osvaldo is only interested in playing for a London club.  For the sake of argument, let's assume he doesn't mean Leyton Orient.  Must be an unexpected coup for Brentford then.

Maybe he thinks Arsenal will give up on Suarez?

Why would Inter want him?  He's Italian (sort of).

Are you taking something - maybe you need to take a closer look.
Wet Spam - for instance - IN - Andy Carroll 15m, Stewart Downing 6m (Liverpool must be over joyed to have got rid of them), Danny Whitehead from Stockport for an "undisclosed fee" and a couple of free transfers.

Take your pick - which one of those should be wearing black and white?

As far as Enoh is concerned - what is he worth?
As Jol pointed out he is not playing for Ajaz and I have not heard about a queue for his services - so what is the rush?.

The transfer window closes on Monday 02 September - at that point all with be clear and we will know the TRUE story.
