Personally I think we need a striker as we lack attacking threat up top. Osvaldo would be my pick but i will settle for Bent.

Can't disagree with any of that, except I don't see the point with another winger/attacking midfielder like Sako.
What I really want is to loan another championship player. Seriously though I don't care who it is or what position, all I want is for this person to be a first 11 player and not just a squad player. Has to be an upgrade on our first 11
Darren Bent would be a key signing for us, really hope it's him although Granero or Sako will be good buys

not so sure on sako, isn't the highest level he has played at the championship? Doesn't mean he will be bad, but also doesn't mean he will be any better than bouazza. I'd say more of a risk signing than a good one

Weird. All reports had him headed to QPR, he as meant to undergo a medical today.
Would certainly be an upgrade on Sidwell but I'm not convinced he's quite what we need - and of course he's 33 this year, so he won't be around for more than a season or two.
I think it'll be Sako, I'm not going to lie I would be disappointed with Scott Parker. Another old player who wont be able to play 90 minutes and I think he will be a huge flop for us.

Yes Parker is 32 but he's a good player, we hsve youngsters like Kaca , Frei , Briggs , Mesca , David , Kasami. Parker is a leader he will be good for them players

i agree -when are the youth players going to come into the first team? when each year they are getting there progress stopped by a player of 31+ coming in on a loan or a short term 1 year contract-parker would just be a stopgap for 1 1/2 seasons before he ends up retiring-i would want a unproven sako or darren bent to be signed
Parker has character, a quality lacking in a lot of today's players. You can't help but like him personally. But he appears to be a little slow footed. No, that's not fair. Let's just say he isn't fast, let alone speedy. He's dependable and solid, without much creativity and doesn't excite with ideas. He will adapt to whatever system Jol puts him in. He will be a good presence in the locker room. But will he improve the team? I don't think so. If he's in the bargain bin, there's a reason.
Parker plays a bit too sideways and backwards now for me. Gone are his days of driving the team like at WHU. If we sign him, happy to be proved wrong though. Bring on a new shiny signing!

I hope so as the players we're being linked too at the moment are completely uninspiring. I don't understand why people are so excited about us signing bent, he isnt the striker he once was. A few seasons back we looked like being a consistently top 10- top 8 side. We have gone backwards if the signing of Darren Bent is seen as a good thing. Osvaldo is the only player we've been linked to that would be exciting to me.
Aaron Cresswell would be a quality signing, future england left back and not too expensive, but only seen a few twitter links to him.
Bent, Deeney, Parker etc are all a step in the wrong direction, from a top 10 side to a side that aims to survive in the division. We've gone so far backwards since Dembele left.

Maybe a sign Khan doesn't fully support Jol? That we'll buy some of his short term options, but hold off on buying one of Jol's high-priced, long term targets?

Fulham owner Shahid Khan has ruled out rebranding the club as the Jaguars in the wake of Hull City having added Tigers to their name.
Khan believes a club's name is sacrosanct and does not plan to follow the lead of the Assem Allam who wants the club to be known as Hull City Tigers nationally and Hull Tigers internationally.
It is a month since Pakistan-born billionaire Khan completed his purchase of the Barclays Premier League club.
Khan has been busy making his mark at the west London club, with on and off-field plans continuing apace.
One of his immediate goals is to create a links between Fulham and his NFL franchise Jacksonville Jaguars, who will play a regular season game at Wembley for the next four years.
Khan, though, is keen to stress such a tie-up will see both retain separate identities and promised never to mess with the club name like the high-profile case of Hull.
"We won't be becoming Fulham Jaguars," he told Press Association Sport.
"I don't think they are the things [we would change].
"Fulham Football Club is how it was way before my lifetime and that is hopefully how it will be a long time after I am gone.
"Both Fulham and the Jaguars really have to operate as their own entities and they have their own core fans and obviously the sports are unique.
"We want to look for areas where they can work together and I think most of those are going to be on the business side.
"Anything historical like that, I absolutely have no intention of messing with."
Khan has big boots to fill at Craven Cottage having replaced Mohamed Al Fayed as owner after 16 years in which he transformed the club.
The new owner has spoken to the Egyptian a few times since completing his takeover and plans are afoot to honour the former chairman.
Some fans suggest the renaming of the soon-to-be-redeveloped Riverside Stand in his honour would be a suitable gesture and is one of several ideas under consideration.
"Let's face it, I don't think the club would probably be around without Mr Al Fayed," Khan said.
"I think he is a huge part of Fulham and, with the role he played, you have to respect and honour him in some way.
"What exactly it is, there are a lot of irons in the fire but definitely I think you have to honour all his contributions towards Fulham."
Khan has been splitting his time between his Florida home and London since completing the takeover and will be at Craven Cottage for the first home game of the season against Arsenal.
He revealed a new signing is set to be announced imminently and more could follow before the big match as he looks for a year of improvement.
Asked what would represent a successful first year in charge, Khan said: "It is very simple: we got better. That would be for me what we want to do on and off the field.
"Number one is performance on the pitch. We finished 12th last season and I would hope we do better.
"Performance off the pitch is important and it is indicative that in future years that we have supporters, corporate and otherwise, that will help the club move forward."

He said his expertise was in sponsorship and pushing the club forward in that direction. He said that Martin Jol and Alexander Mckintosh were the footballing experts and he doesn't know enough in that direction to be deemed an expert. He did however say that they are top men in their field and he had every faith in them
The fact that he knows enough to stay out of footballing decisions is a very positive development.

I think this is confirmation that he is not going to pump any money in unless he absolutely has to. Football decisions i.e transfers have to involve large amounts of cash, increasing revenue will allow us to spend more but I think they(Jol & Mackintosh) have been given a freehand, in that they can do what they want with the money the clubs generates but must finish higher than 11th. This is very much the way both american companies operated tht I have worked for - its your buisness but we expect increase 10% on bottom line.
Suppose we can look on the bright side if we dont sign someone dont think Khan will be impressed with Mac after hes left him with egg on his face
