Who should be our left midfielder? Who should start next week?
Taarabt, Kaca, Dejagah, Ruiz, Bent, Kasami, Frei and Duff will rotate constantly this season, all playing behind Berbatov, or in Bents case, in front,
Kacaniklic for me. He's paid his dues and towards the end of last season he became clear first choice material - pace, flair, goalscoring ability and an excellent partnership with Berbatov.
I wouldn't mind Taarabt coming on later in the game as an impact sub, either for Kacaniklic or in the hole behind the striker where Kasami played yesterday.
If kaca plays like he did in his last game, then kaca for me. Plus he seems to do well against arsenal. But as above I also expect lots of rotation across the whole midfield for the first half of the season
I read the line up yesterday wrong as I thought Kasami would play wide and Taarabt behind Berba.
So the problem is we have a few players who are players of all trades but masters of none. I would always pick a winger over a player who can play somewhere else. So Kaka if fit for me with Taarabt coming on.
The big question is where would you put Kasami now if Ruiz is fit? A few positions we have real problems for cover, others we have plenty.
I think Tarrabt should come on for Sidwell after 60 mins & Kara for Boateng. Kaca is my choice for wide left MF.

id like to see kas given a cm role. Box to box
Kaca on LW, but Adel should still be in the team. In the hole or CM would suit the team better.
taarabt takes sidwell's place at cm and kaca to fill the vacancy at left mid... what i'd like to see at least
with the players we have now, and potentially a new CM, we have the luxury to change things about. eg:
Taarabt behind berba, kaca on the left, berba behind bent, taarabt on the left. and for some of your ruiz is an option aswell. and ofcourse Kasami has played himself into contention also.
one thing for me which is certain is that dejagah must play on the right. him and riether are wonderful together, and you can tell that he isnt happy playing on the left.
Pre bent I would say taarabt but because bent is an out and out striker he will need crosses and I think kaca is a better crosser IMO
I would start Taarabt on the right, Kaca on the left, Kasami and Berbs through the middle.
I actually like a lot of these options for formations. One thing that I do appreciate is the increased flexibility and that we have in attack this season compared to last. If Kasami, Mesca and (hopefully) Frei can step up and progress this season we have several really strong options for the front 4.
Currently, the choices seem to be: Berba, Bent, Bryan, Na Banga, Tarbs, Dejagah, Kasami, Hugo, Kaca, Frei and Duff. All these players fighting for 4/5 places (1/2 Strikers, 1 CAM, 2 Wingers).. Lots of different choices and styles of play for Jol to pick from.
Should be an exciting season, assuming that the CM fiasco is fixed soon..
We do seem to have a lot of permutations but we need to get bodies in the box. Perming 6 from 11 is going to be difficult for Jol & have a settled side. Bent, Berba, Ash & Boateng are certs. That leaves 2 from 7. Uhmmm
Taarabt will tie them in knots... Would prefer him in the middle
The choice for the two wide positions and the two strikers is Duff, Dejegah, Taarbat, Kaca, Berbatov,Ruiz,Rodders and Kassami. That is two proven players for each position, it has never looked so good. There is competition and the in form and fully fit players should be selected.
Regretably the same strength in depth is not available in depth for the full back positions.
With Kacaniklic's squad number switching to the traditional left wingers, i have a feeling he will be playing a huge part of the upcoming season. About Taarabt, i havent seen a Fulham player move about the oposition since Dembele in the middle. I dont know if Jol planned on Ruiz not playing due to it being away and a more physical team, but it is nice to see us have loads of depth of various styles of player. Kasami is making problems for Jol as well with his performance yesterday. But to answer your question directly, Kacaniklic, one because he is ours, two he and Berba have a good understanding, three he is ready for the premiership given on his performances.
I can't wait to see Taarabt, Ruiz and Berba together
No one will defend, but should they have to, as they won't give away possession anyways
I am pretty sure we can accommodate both players but I would choose Kacaniklic if pressed.
The likelihood is that QPR will rejoin the PL next season and that Adel will be back with them, so in this moment I would choose the young, Fulham owned player.
After yesterday's performance, I'd prefer Kaca over Taarabt even if Kaca was on crutches.
Taarabt done well yesterday, worked hard for the team & looked good on the ball but Kacaniklic has such pace I would start him Saturday

I think he needs some time to gel with the team and get match fit first. It was likely Taarabt would of got subbed vs Sunderland but injuries prevented that. Personally though, I'd rather we played Kacaniklic if we're sending Taarabt back to QPR next summer. I'd rather we develop our own talent. He's not the most tricky player but he's direct, makes good runs behind defences and is a decent finisher. His goal vs West Brom away last season was probably one of my favourites.
Its not really new but there is an article saying Taarabt found a family at Fulham, instead of the collection of individuals down the road.
Ill look for it.

Its amazing how many players / formations we could play in attacking roles since signing Bent.... I am a massive fan of Kaca so he gets my vote over tarrabt... But perhaps tarrabt could do a job in CM?
Kacaniklic should play, look how Agbonlahor terrorised the Arsenal defence with his pace on Saturday and how Kaca did the same in the 3-3 draw last year. Taarabt will be useful coming off the bench if we need inspiration to get back into the match.
