This boy is such a hot talent, he seems to have it all. Superb off the ball movement - he roams across the pitch finding space, can beat his man and has finally started getting in crosses quicker, good crosses too, and is a pretty good finisher. We have to find room for him because he is a huge talent.
So much more than an out and out winger.
I also feel we need a good and quick left back to provide support. Riise is poor and Richardson a crock, Briggs shouldn't be rushed.
Agreed. Need to be found place in the starting XI.
Kaca on the left , Taarabt on the right, Bent slightly ahead of Berbatov?

You seem to be making an assumption that Taarabt can be equally as effective whichever flank he plays. From what I've seen of his career (admittedly, not a comprehensive look), this isn't so.
I'm a huge fan of his but he was poor tonight, needs to stick to his wing and stop drifting inside so frequently

Disagree completely. He doesn't and shouldn't stick to the wing. Remaining static he will be marked out of the game and that's one less person to pass to. What's more he can score but it's hard to score when you're stuck to the wing.
He shows flashes of what he is capable of but I still think he cuts inside in to traffic to often and he doesn't beat his man that often. A work in progress for sure but not sure he is the next Ryan Giggs. I fear Jol could be coaching any directness out of him and he will be a sideways player if we are not careful.

I think part of it is tactical, part of it due to a mistrust of Riise. He would go out wide if he knew he had support from the left back, but he doesn't trust Riise to give him that. But being able to go inside or outside is a hell of a talent, which other wingers do we have that can do that successfully? Taarabt can't, Frei can't, Dejagah can't with any real effectiveness, same with Duff. Mesca seems capable of it but he's very raw.

Not saying he shouldn't come inside at all, but last night he essentially played in centre-mid and left his flank exposed

you can make the arguement either way.
Either the fullback isn't supporting, or the winger isn't covering.
At the moment, and as a former defender myself, I'd like us to sure up a bit and become harder to beat. I think we need Kaca to be a more traditional winger at the moment, getting around the outside to get to the byline to provide crosses, with the option of variation cutting inside, to keep the opposition fullback honest, and being able to nulify the opposite fullback from bombing on and doubleing up on our fullback (Riise) who then cops a load of flack...
