I suppose some promising news. Shame he didn't get a question in about the TV gantry. This new player does sound like a decent prospect though.

Really hoping this bit of transparency is a sign of things (a new attitude of openness) to come. I've felt that with a bit of information related to roster building strategy, even after the fact, would alleviate much consternation within the fanbase without really divulging too much that would damage any competitive advantage.

No need to name every target or necessarily targeted positions. But, info like what ffc2004 was able to get can go a long way toward improving club/fan relations. Some information regarding when groundbreaking on the Riverside improvement is scheduled would be great as well. Surely that should be known by now to club officials.

I would have liked to ask Ali if Jol was over the moon about all this.

Bloody hell! I am just going to believe every word of that and walk around all day with a great big smile on my face.

I agree - Mcintosh is paid employee of Fulham, he's not going to go around saying depressing news especially with all the odd/negative vibes going around the club at the moment.

I suppose it's nice to know he's confident to a certain degree but it still fails to address key issues - I simply don't trust Shad's stance on the club, for me, for him we are a strategic purchase to improve the Jaguars - we have their site links and everything linked to on our official site, where as there is no mention of us at all on their homepage.. is this is a mutual partnership with long term interests then why not?

Why didn't we find out about what happened to spending money and why didn't we spend any of the new TV money or why has Shad kept his pockets closed?

What is the news on Jol, why is the club under performing and what is being done or discussed about regarding getting further new players in (momo sissoko, mladen petric - who can still do a job for us again etc) and what's being done regarding all the players (and management) being down to the last year of their contracts? Is he confident we have good contingency plans in place?

Why is he so confident about having Shad as our owner and why is the future bright?

Nice to hear we have option on Taraabt irrespective of QPR coming back up, but as we all know we're not a club that take on options to regularly unless a player really impresses. Whilst he may be confident about Bent at the moment if this season goes badly then I can imagine he's going to reassess his options.

What happened to Riethers injury and when are we going to see Amorebieta and Stekelenburg back in the fold?

God, this leaves more questions than answers, but whilst I appreciate the guy asking probably didnt expect to be able to ask questions and asked quite a few it would've been nice to have found out more.

Not very impressed with:-
All targets were signed
Fulham wern´t in for anybody else.
The club is very positive about the return of Richardson - highly rated.

Where is our LB & most importantly our creative midfielder that we have been needing for the last 2 years.

Mackintosh knows nothing about the football side of the club as he is an accountant with no football experience save being involved with the financial side so why does he make football related comments.
These answers prove that Jol has his hands tied every step of the way & is given no say in who the club are going to sign. Jol may submit a list of players he really wants but I can guess what Mackintosh used it for.

On paper, we have a very good team. The new players in are definitely an improvement. However, I guess he would not comment on the slow, boring, negative football Jol is putting out there.

Probably good news that we have an option to sign Taraabt & Bent permanently, (assuming they have decent seasons). Apart from that, there's nothing particularly positive in all of that really.

What does football experience entail?

Playing professionally? Managing professionally?

Lovely to finally see a bit of positivity on this board and well done to whoever got the interview. :clap_hands:

One small point I love the fact that Taarabt is spelt three different ways in the original message and think that the difficulty in spelling his name could be avoided if we all change his name to "Mr T". 067.gif

What would be interesting is whether Parker would have gone to QPR if it had not been a World Cup year.

I think it would be difficult to turn down additional wages/lump sum if it had not been.

I am one of the only few who really doesnt get the Richardson hype... Think he is awful, but definitley better than Riise and we will never know about briggs as he has never had a run in the team.

Very positive thread though so I wont change it with my negativity, great work to whoever got the interview :)

How do you know that he has no football experience, i am guessing that you and probably most others on here do not work for a professional football club yet everyone on here make football related comments, he makes football related comments about FFC because he is in the know whereas we are not.

We've been after Zvvvvvvv "for awhile," but it took until the final minutes of the window, after Riether was injured, to sign a guy from a Swiss club for 250,000 pounds? Come on.

He was likely option G as we worked our way down the list. Doesn't mean he won't be a useful addition, but that's sillytalk from Mac.

Does seem odd as we were trying to get a swap going with Parma and Senderos. Still good of him to talk to those waiting.

Are there really only a few people who don't get the Richardson hype?  I think he's the worst of the three, even if you don't take into account how injury-prone he is.

Agree that if Mac is saying we weren't even trying to sign anyone else, we are in the wrong hands! I am not saying Mac knows nothing about football but Khan defo knows nothing about football, Jol knows nothing about putting a team together and now the Chief Exec is delusional about the qualities of Richardson and the squad overall. I would rather him say we were after a number of targets but couldn't secure them against teams in the champions league etc!!
