At the risk of boring you all, I have been watching and supporting Fulham since 1947 when I was 7 years old . I have, in this time seen lots of ups and downs, proberbly more downs than ups but now, well this is the worse. When you take into account the calibre of player, then, yes, this is the worse.
I have steadfastly supported our Manager but the time has come, I have to utter the words that I have never wanted to say, those words are Jol Out. Sorry Martin.
Mr. P, I was thinking the same. Since 1960 have there been any WORSE. PITIFULL, DISGRACEFUL , EMBARRASSING performances in ut history. Even in the good old, bad old days.
Has there ever been a worse performance in the Premier league by any other team. (Wigan, QPR, Reading etc) I don't think so.
Agree, Jol is the problem but most of us have known that almost since day 1.
Can't disagree with that. The guy is a complete clueless TIT
I'd like to have Don Mackay back in place of this clueless *ahem*.
I may have joined the "out" camp but I refuse to condone personal abuse about the man.
I lived opposite a chap named Spud Murphy, a potato merchant, who was instrumental in getting Tosh Chamberlain to convince Johnny Haynes to sign for us. He said to me many times, "Son Fulham are a team of disappointments ".
I have only been a supporter since 1954 but I echo those words.
As for Martin Jol, it´s looking bad for him but until the club can identify a suitable candidate he will remain. Some say anyone would be better which is not the case. There has not been one person named on the various threads who I would like to see. It could be out of the frying pan & into the fire.
What decent manager would come to us knowing full well he would only have minimal funding for new players. No one of any sense would anyway.

But our squad is decent enough, full of internationals. Players that have played at the top level, at top clubs for many years. If used in the right way we're more than capable of playing much better than we did tonight & at newcastle, Chelsea, Cardiff etc.. A more attack minded manager would make a huge difference. We can't go away to places like Southampton, refuse to attack & have no attempts in 90 minutes.

No need to be so sensitive, I'm sure Jol's used to it.
Not being sensitive, just being aware that I do not know the man, so why should I make abusive remarks against him?

Grandad, regarding the latter concerning an heir apparent, I have been saying the same thing for too long. As in life, you get what you pay for, and when it comes to great football managers, then you pay by providing sufficient funding. Hopefully any such successor will have the backing of the board in a fiscal manner, or we will be in the same boat a year on after the change.
For those saying anyone would be better, then perhaps we could call up LS, I'm certain he would be available again.

Totally agree Mr. P.
Lawrie Sanchez.
Point us... It can be worse. Thankfully, hopefully besides Sunderland and Palace there will be someone worse than us.
Imagine Bielsa...

This argument is too pat. The Roy supporters constantly challenge us to suggest a Jol treplacement, it's not our job. There is another current thread saying that we were spoilt under Roy; well very few, if any, of us could have pointed to Roy as a replacement manager but the club did their search and were proved right in seeing the potential. It is not our job to identify potential managers that is the task of Board and on the last couple of occassions they and their advisors have done a decent job. Jol has not worked out but, fair enough, I could see the attraction at the time. I am sure there are suitable candidates out there and I trust the Board to bring in a sensible choice.
Now we have a new owner, do you there's a chance a certain M. Tigana might consider a return a la Jose Marinho?

I have been thinking long and hard since the game, on how to put my feelings into words, I think you have just said them exactly.
I'm not a Jol basher in fact he was my first choice at the time, even before Hughes but the football being served up at the moment with the talent we have in the team, is awful.
Sanchez had a much worse squad.... this is clueless football we are playing
Dejagah was our best player at the end of last season. where is he.

He kept attacking, running at defences & causing problems for the opposition. That doesn't fit in to Jol's 'sit back & defend, 2 mph build up play, hope for the best with absolutely no preparation style'.
