Post by: ltd-ffc on January 10, 2014, 10:47:49 AM
shame about the result apparently dembele missed a rare sitter.
this is their first loss of the season though right?

would be good for our young lads to win the league seems to be between us and west  087.gif youngers.

I went along, and I think the result was just about fair..... Arsenal did have four internationals playing.... Frimpong, Jenkinson, Oxlade Chaimberlain and Ryo so the Fulham boys acquitted themselves well.

I thought Tankovic looked good and skilful, although did seem to be imitating the Berbatov strops, and Plumain was a real handful. I also thought Buatu looked good in defence and Joronen made a string of great saves.

Thanks for that. I regret having to have missed it, these games are almost always highly entertaining.
I agree with what you say about young Maumer, he's always been 'Tankatov' to me from the first time I saw him.

It's fascinating watching these young players develop. Dan Burn looked clumsy and slow when I first saw him, now he's on the edge of a PL debut. Similarly it's encouraging to hear that Buatu is coming along nicely.

Although it's nice to win and a winning attitude is to be encouraged, at this level, unlike in the First Team, the result is not the most important factor. Lessons learnt are much more valuable at this stage.

I thought it was good game, considering we had a number of players out, and the likes of Frimpong, Jenkinson and Chamberlain in the their team thought we aquitted ourselves very well.
It was one of those games where a little luck was needed. They had some good chances and so did we but I have to admit they were able to take the sting out of our play, playing at the pace they wanted to when we wanted to force the game for a good 20 minute spell in the second half but to our credit we kept going to the end and could so nearly have nicked a late one.
Hadn't seen Buatu play and was impressed, Richards again impressed me and despite sounding like a stuck record think Donnelly is destined for a long future with Fulham.

Dembele was in amazing form until he hurt his hammy coming on against West Ham a month or two ago.  How did he play other than the sitter he missed?

Looked a bit rusty, lacked his usual finesse to me, what did others think?
