Title: Where is Moussa Dembele??
Post by: JackyFulham90 on March 16, 2014, 11:28:35 PM
As good as Woodrow has been where is young Dembele?? He seems to be nowhere near the 1st team which is a surprise as he seemed on the cusp of a major break through

He's picked up a couple of injuries in the past few months. I think we're protecting his long term career and holding him back until next year.

Oh right, that makes sense he is still only young, shame though as he looks a quality prospect who could make a difference.

Is he as much of a target man as Woodrow?  As people have pointed out on twitter, it seems pretty clear that Felix wanted a particular type of player up front, and Woodrow was the best option.  I've seen very little of Dembele (because I'm far away), but my impression is he's not a hold-up/link-up guy.

He played for the u21s last Tuesday after coming back from injury, didnt look his usual self, hopfully he's ok for the u18s FA Youth cup game tomorrow at Craven Cottage.

Expect to see Dembele in the first team soon though

Tbh, from what I have been able to see. The player who looks closest to making the step up to the first team has been Chris David or Muamer Tankovic. Dembele looks incredible, but possibly behind those 2 in his development.

It probably won't work out quite like that. Not after Cauley's excellent showing on Sat.
