Title: CEO
Post by: nose on May 03, 2014, 11:50:25 PM
I think it time we heard from him

i fancy a bit of bland management nonesense to round off the season

i do not blame khan, or MAF, I really think the fault lies with the CEO and the board because that is where the blame lies in any business when it goes wrong for so long, the CEO.

Have the club made an announcement yet about our relegated status?

At least let the season finish...

I imagine we'll get the final game of the season out of the way, and maybe wait a week or two then have some kind of meeting, Ali Mac, Shahid Khan and Felix Magath. Unless Magath is going to be shown the door, then it'll happen soonish. I don't think Alistair Mackintosh will leave or be sacked, and to be honest, the people that have said he should, hasn't put any reasons and explanations down.

To add, the 8th-10th is the NFL draft, so it's a huge weekend for the Jaguars.

actually we have put loads of reasons and explantions for why the CEO should be relieved of his duties in recent weeks. But i suspect he will remain, and that will be a total disaster.

It's fine to say that, I won't ever dismiss someone's point of view, but I wish you would list the reasons, and explain why this is a negative... Otherwise it's not a debate/discussion, it's just nothing, like two kids going "yes, no, yes, no, yes, no"

We might as well replace him with Marcel Marceau.  Hes been anonymous and its a disgrace that we don't get more communication directly from AM or Khan.

FPT, I and a host of others listed many reasons as to why Ali Mac has to go on the Big Mac thread from Thursday and Friday.  But the real killer blow came from Logicalman who even shut up our doubting lawyer who asked the same question you did.  Our ex-cop presented point by point evidence to justify, even demand, Mac's dismissal.
You must have missed it.
Nogood "asking you to go back to the thread, isit" Boyo

i didn't say you were being negative I said we have listed the points over and oill remain, and that will be a total disaster.

i didn't say you were being negative i said we have listed the reasons lots of times but if you want it repeated i will give you my take on the subject.

just as a basic rule of business, if things are going wrong on a continuing basis then in the end the man at the helm, in this case the CEO is usually held responsible. The sort of descisions that would have been our CEOs would be keeping Jol after a disastorous run at the end of last season continuing this season, the selection of a totally inexperienced replacement and just when we seemed to be turning the corner with rene, appointing a third manager with no experience of the premier league.
The transfer fiasco of mitroglu would be sufficient in my book.
but the main issue was he allowed jol to destroy all the good work that had gone before, and that was a crime. Infact the appointment of a serial underachiever such as jol was so very wrong.
Not bringing in a class act like poyet was another crime.

Any business that is being taken in the wrong direction would usually replace the CEO

I do not wish to go into individual descions because the specifics of individual issues may be open to interpretation but generally on the day the players are responsible, over the season it is the manager BUT over a few years it is the CEO (or owner but khan has only just turned up) , he makes the strategy.

If you hunt down the MB you can find loads more. The one thing this hasn't been is not discussed.

He is supposed to be on 800K a year. Does he have a relegation clause. If so I hope it is for minimum wage.

Yes, reasons and explanations galore but none that we know to be true. All assumptions and speculations.

Yes, and as was said at the time, this is not a public business with many shareholders and a stock market price. It is owned by one person. The owner sets the strategy, the CEO implements it.

And under MAF the hiring and firing of managers and the approval of (big) transfers was the decision of the owner as it is with most football clubs. Why would Khan give up that right to an accountant? We heard Jol say that AM got all Jol's targets and a similar statement was made about the January acquisitions for Rene by Khan so it still looks as though the managers are choosing the targets and the owner is approving the budget and targets.
