Title: Not including kasami's goal
Post by: dannyboi-ffc on May 18, 2014, 07:05:20 AM
We scored so many great goals for a team that was relegated. Obviously nothing comes close to Kasami's goal for goal of the season but out of the others, what was the best?
David, Richardson, Dejagah vs Everton, Dejagah vs Hull, Ruiz vs Cardiff, Rodellega's header for the short lived joy we had at the end of the Villa game, Parker vs Swansea, Parker vs Norwich, Sidwell at Old Trafford, Kompany's bizarre own goal or any other that I haven't mentioned. Its quite hard but I'd go for David's closely followed by Ruiz.

yeah that was a superb turn and strike but it was a friendly. Would of been my choice if it had been in a league game.

I cant believe I didn't list sidwell's goal, great goal. You don't often get two goals like that in one half of football. I still think David's and Ruiz were better. Richardson's was a harder technique too. To be honest I'm not a sidwell fan so maybe thats why I prefer these goals. I love his attitude and workrate but I feel that fact he played all 38 games is one of the reasons we were so bad. In years gone by he was 5th choice behind murphy dembele diarra and etuhu. I know I won't be popular for saying that but I'm not bothered he's going. As long as he takes parker with him and we start again and rebuild

Ruiz at Cardiff.  Especially as he'd just come on, to much disappointment, and it SHOULD have been what turned the game in our favour.

I'm going for Chris David, perfect way to finish an awful season, with a glimpse into the future.

Plus, your Premier League debut to score a goal like that so your team doesn't go down with a loss?

The goal may not have been as good as some of the others, but that's a pretty cool back story to a worthy contender.

Sean davis- came through the ranks and scored the goal to get us their.
Chris david- kinda came through the ranks and scored the last goal on his debut.
Nice way to do it

Sidwell's goal vs Palace for me. As if the Kasami goal wasnt insulting enough to them  064.gif

Back then we must have looked like the World XI to them!

Was going to say this - an exceptional goal and what a place to score it!
