We seem to be on very shaky ground squad wise. I was able to see a live stream of the match and the squad seems disconnected from one another.
strange because I though they were far more clued on to each other this game than in any of the other 4 I've seen. Some lovely moves in the first half but easily shaken up by opponents when they get physical with them - Finger crossed they'll learn how this division works pretty soon.
I watched the whole game & I thought this was the 1st time we played as a team.
Yes, I too watched the whole game and felt we looked more like a team than in any previous effort this season Still not a fan of Felix but that is to take nothing away from the improved performance.

Is this a joke? The first half was like the team had 1 communal brain.
are you sure you were watching the right match?
they played superb together.
He must have been watching the team in red.
It is true of the previous two matches and the failure to push home the advantage yesterday is worrying. Shaky is still a good term to use despite one 45 minute period. We are now a little adrift of the team above us. Any more performances good or bad that don't deliver a result will leave us in horrible trouble. But then we all know that and that I presume is the reason some fans are desperate for one 45 minute of good football to be a portent of things to come. We can all agree on that.
I think that's a bit over the top to suggest there's no squad cohesion/togetherness; plus, bare in mind we have 13 new signings, plus 11 coming up from the academy either late last season or this season - so it wouldn't surprise me if we lacked something on the pitch; that's 24 new players thrown together, it's amazing that we've played as well as we have for the majority, Wolves and Derby being the only poor performances thus far and the performance yesterday shows that things are moving forwards and not backwards. Lets see where we are come Monday at 11pm in terms of squad quality, and then Thursday 2nd October in terms of results and performances.
We have 6 games in between now and the 2nd of October, with us having two weeks off after the International break. I do expect to see things improve and results really will follow performances. If we can add that last bit of quality and settle down, I believe that we will really kick on and begin to push. This break comes at a nice time, we have got a few going away but the bulk of the squad should still be at Motspur Park, so fingers crossed the break will be grasped upon as we travel to Reading in 13 days time.

Careful. You're talking to much sense.
I've said in many threads recently at the moment (and only at the moment) the performances are more important than results. I firmly believe that if we keep playing like yesterday the results will soon follow.
I'd be more concerned if we were only creating one or two good chances a game.

Agree with this and it is why I am much less concerned than many. Yes, I want results just like everyone else but am willing to be patient because performances, with the exception of Derby, were promising and we are progressing.
Yep. If we play like yesterday for the next 41 games we'd surely win 25. This was one of the strongest teams in the league and we could easily have smashed them.
Well, I am relieved now. You guys that actually see us play have a far better feel than someone watching a computer feed. I want to see us back in the Prem next season!! I miss the live games on American TV.

The unfortunate thing is ... that was the best we've played all season!!
There is still quite a way to go before we can say we have a settled squad, but the last couple of games, OK the last one at least, indicated that it's getting there, unfortunately a little slowly perhaps/
