Title: It's looking like FM
Post by: H4usuallysitting on August 31, 2014, 03:21:33 PM
is finally understanding what team is our best, and me like many other supporters have not expected any points on the board until the Blackburn game, this will be our first League game at home after the transfer window closes and things will have settled down a bit - but after yesterday performance especially the first half we may get something at Reading and Forest both established Championship teams (and Forest currently top) - the quality is there I think the ambition is there, and just a little bit more tweaking in front of goal and we could start to transform our early season form.

Alot of supporters expected us to lose the first 6 games ????!!!!

With respect, thats a pretty low expectation by any standards - we were a Premier team last year irrelevant of how many players have left.

????? That makes no sense whatsoever. How many players are currently playing that played last year? ONE. Your roof is missing  a slate Mr B.

Until Magath leaves, we won't win a coconut, the players we have in the Squad are good enough to form a good side to challenge for a top six place, but not with Magath in charge, he will continue to be a thorn in Fulhams side, thank goodness he has less that a year of his contract to run.

Aren't Mammoth's extinct?

Yes but they're trying to recreate them from frozen DNA. Trouble is there are important bits missing.

You're an argumentative busy body. Noticed a fair few of your kind recently picking up on either grammatical errors or just plain looking to put people down on threads.

The point he made was fine, why would we expect to lose the first 6 games regardless of the league were in and the players present.

Pipe down .

The simple answer to you is that if you don't like what I write....ignore it and move on. No one asks you to read it do they? And for your information it is not a case of putting anyone down, basic English, "would have" not "would of" If that's a little difficult to understand oop North, I am happy to get it translated for you at no cost to yourself.
As far as the above comment is concerned, you can not compare the team we have this season to the team we had last season, you can not expect a team of mainly new players and youth academy players to gel overnight. Playing pre season games do not provide the necessary experience, only competitive matches do that and if it takes 5 or 6 or even 7 matches to find the right team to play then we must understand that. No supporter wants us to lose our first 4 games, but it has happened and there is nothing we can do to change that now. If some post what IMO is a stupid post, who's sole purpose is to stir up other posters to hate FM and boo the team, I tend to bite because I love my club, it is not only me that points it out, but others too. Are they all argumentative busy bodies too? Or is this just personal? TBH I don't really care either way, but your last line insinuates we should perhaps have won those games, when the truth is we have not been ready. It takes time but some on here are so impatient and such armchair experts that the only opinion that should count is theirs. If the cap fits mate.....

ps. I am no football expert, but the obvious is hard to miss.

Oop north? I have no difficulty in understanding anything, in fact it was yourself who couldn't understand someone's simple statement and then lost it with the poster.

Assume you're a regular at the Cottage? Only I thought you lived in Gibraltar?! Based on a rumour ...

As for the team, no-one expected then to win every game but the point he made, and I made a n attempt to clear up for you was, that no-one expected to lose the first 6 regardless of the squad. Seems you're the one struggling never mind the stupid Northerner.

You know full well I live in Gib, we have both been on FOF long enough. I have at no stage called you or anyone up North a "stupid Northerner", in fact one of my son's went to uni at York and the other at Newcastle, and all the Northerners I have met to date have been really nice people.
I attend matches as and when time allows me to. My eldest is a season ticket holder though.
Read this line.

With respect, thats a pretty low expectation by any standards - we were a Premier team last year irrelevant of how many players have left.

How can you compare last seasons team to this years team. It simply makes no sense m8. So I don't understand where your comments came from. and the "busybody" come on, it's a messageboard, there will be for and against arguments all the time on here. A prime example being. Lighthouse is normally wrong, Blingo is normally right lol.

Anyhow back to square one we go. Have a nice evening, and I hope it's not too cold in your part of the world. lol :)

From what I understand NONE did not expect 0 points.... Most of us expected at least something. From start of the season I thought we would have seven points.

1 against Ipswich
3 against Millwall
3 against Wolves I havent heard of a single person saying he expected 0 points

Even with the turnover of the roster, we should have 5-6 points already. Magath's screwed around with ridicuclous lineups that have cost us. Any expectation that we would be in 23rd place after five matches is revisionist and ridiculous. And we're not going to get anything from the next two, either.

maybe you should stop being condecenting to so many as you actually are on this forum, as soon as people disagree on you, you state negative condecenting phrases, is it really necessary? Do you have to correct peoples typo's, correct theire grammar? You say if people dont like what you write they should ignore? Yet you have to be condecenting and correct theire grammar.

Like I said, if you don't like what I have posted, don't read it, ignore my posts. Is it really that hard?
I don't think I will grow much more as I am 58, and certainly don't need correction from someone like you. And it is condescending by the way, not condecenting :). Bye. ;)

Lol to be 58 you certainly act like a 14 year old, why dont you maybe act like a 58? I dont care how its spelled, I am not even English, and why dont you iit the ignore button yourself instead of making a bad atmosphere on this board? Get over yourself

I know you are not my Norwegian friend, lighten up, I have been on FOF since it first began in 2008, had loads of arguments on here, been banned, come back and have always had a rapport with Lighthouse, hence the blingo/lighthouse scale as Hatter Dons avatar. I respond to anyone that makes statements that either a) make no sense or b) have nothing to back them up. I don't need to press the ignore button, I like the rapport lol.
As for acting my age, what for? So I appear sensible when I am clearly not hahahahaha Wake up m8. I have been a Fulham man and boy for 51 years. You really think anything written on here is ever going to change the way I love my club?

ps. I don't really care what you think of me ;)

I actually knew what our best 13-15 were right off. I also had an idea of how to play them. I actually expected to be at least mid table and get more than 1 point before Blackburn.

I think one could have thrown darts at a dart board and done better. Don't sell yourself short like FM.

I dont care for how long you have been Fulham fan or not, but why do you need to be condesending towards others just because they have a different oppinion? Why do you have to correct peoples grammar? You understand what people are saying dont you? Why create that negative vibe, its not necessary at all.

Not selling myself short Mr Rock, just looking at the bigger over all picture at FFC and as I see it, the pieces of the jigsaw are (admittedly slower than I would like) falling into place. Watch the first 45 against Cardiff, we looked as good as any prem team from 5th down, and there is massive room for improvement. If FM gets this right we will have an extremely good team for years to come, but, as I am fed up of saying on here, it takes time. At the moment and for maybe even the next 6 weeks we have time, but I honestly believe that the seeds will have been more than sewn by then and the shoots will be coming out of the ground.Only time will tell if my reading of the situation is correct or not, but give it that time.

Of course I understand it K33ny, but as I said, if there is nothing to justify a point or no proof of the statement, then I bite lol. Let me put it another way, it is a game like most on here play, (see wooly mammoth's posts) now they really are condescending lol so I point out that they are wrong or do not know what they are talking about and when people read it they don't like it. That is their problem not mine. simple really eh? Perhaps in the same way as I would not understand some Norwegian ways, you do not understand my ways. That is why I say, if you don't like what I post, simply ignore me. You don't have to like me and I honestly don't care if you do or you do not. Do I have anything against you? No is the easy answer to that.

I can understand why someone could easily believe that from being a Prem team last season we should not be holding up the Championship the way have been. Then again, after considering, rightly or wrongly, the drastic change in personnel at the club, and the need to find the correct starting 11 all over again, the fact we are at the lower end is not totally surprising.

Again, depends on your own pov whether you feel it is justified or not.
