.... would anyone care to briefly sum up how we did on Saturday? Played well? Signs of improvement? I liked the look of the lineup. And we finally have a point!
You can watch the replay on the offal. In general I would say it was a positive performance.
we should have sown the game up in the first half, was a good performance. second was an average performance
Agreed, better than we have seen this season, but still nowhere near enough to get where we need to be.
The first 45mins was the best I have seen us play for what seems like years.
The second 45mins we lost a bit of steam.
Plenty of positives... The only negative really was how we failed to convert the numerous opportunities we created.
Whether this is a genuine turn for the better in our fortunes, or a false dawn, remains to be seen. But if we start playing like we did in the first half on a consistent basis then we will start moving up the table.

we still lack that final ball/confidence in the final third
we gave up a weak goal, IMO. in my estimation, it speaks more to communication and organization in defense more than to an inability to defend.
I think most would agree that our starting squad is likely our strongest and they performed well until giving up the goal.
FM's substitutions and 2nd half formation adjustments were confusing and ineffective.
When I take away the Derby debacle, and look at the remaining three, I believe there is progress being made. I'm willing to let Derby be a one-off - a case of a young/new squad getting their heads down - for right now.
I'd also add that it's worth it to watch the replay just to see how we played in that first half. Burt is absolutely right that this was the best we've played in a very long time.
Thanks folks
I also decided to give Fulham a rest over the weekend, saw the score and was grateful we did not lose....
Watched the highlights, and the first half was great, second half was poor..... FM made some poor subs, but he got the starting line up bang on, so he is learning on that front.
The club is in such a mess at the moment, and I truely believe we will be relegation candidates this season. Should have got rid of FM after Derby, but he is here still, and now needs to stay until December, because he has been given a window.
It was pleasing to see us perform the best we have all season, but in truth a draw was a fair result, as we returned to the same awful football that has been around this club for too long.....we look a really poor team in this division, and I cannot see us winning any time soon.
I don't think we had a poor second half as much as we were outstanding in the first.

replay is on the offal. you can watch for yourself.
Ill check out the replay later, was just looking for a brief synopsis, too wrecked from a weekend of music and muck to watch it now!
First half was bliss, second was more even. Lineup was good for once, but the subs was somehow Magath style.
