i note that at 3.15pm there is no preview on the net
not very inspiring if the manager isn't able to say a few rallying words
Ah maybe he is in talks with the owner
i would prefer it if i knew he was in talks with his defence as to how to close down advancing players

He is probably busy cleaning his Hush Puppies.
Or clearing his desk...
They would have done it the day before but as it was a bank holiday there was nobody around to do it.

Maybe someone can educate me but what has Curbushley done that is so bad?, as far as I can remember he was always a decent sort of manager/coach, why are so many people against him?
this is not an argument point just thought I would ask. Many people say he is crap/rubbish but what example's are there that can be dished out?.

Curbishley hasn't really done a lot, he's just been made a target, like many others around FFC these days. Like you say, Curbishley's C.V speaks volumes, but he's not a miracle worker, and the problems at FFC lay much deeper than just one man.
All I constantly hear from fans is that they saw Curbishley laughing, laughing at what exactly, at our demise, or the embarrassment of the home performance against Sheff Utd, because I did?
People seem to think things go wrong just because the man is around, bull, he's actually had no time to make any sort of an impact, or at least advise the circus on how it should be run.

the laughing bit i find hillarious, the guy is human and if someone said something funny it is a natural reaction to laugh, i have been in very serious meeteings and when this has happened, so for someone to have a go at him laughing is so stupid.
Alfie, didn't you know that Curbs is in the running for scapegoat of the month.

Oh yes. More competitive than the Grand National.

its not the defence.... It's the midfield and strikers not tracking back and leaving the defence exposed.
Remember Roy's two blocks of four? Lose the ball and get everyone behind the ball as fast as you can. We don't do it.

The defensive system under Roy was a thing of great beauty. I was never much of a one for systems, but under Roy, from a high enough position the thing could be seen working like a well-oiled machine with the two banks moving in echelon and people slotting into any vacant spaces.
It apparently took hours of practice to perfect (as do most of the things that look easy), some of the players hated it at first, but eventually learned to love it (although I do't think Bullard was ever a great fan.)
