Not sure i'm too bothered that we missed out but....
How comes the window shut on us in this deal (apparently) but did not shut on Man Cty in their deal for Johnson?
Also, I know the Scots window was open until 12:00 but still - how comes spuds can sell after our window had shut? Surely the rule applies to selling as well as buying???
Problem with Beatie deal apparently was it would have been a 2 1/2 year contract and Stoke were poncing around waiting just incase a better offer came in so therefore Beattie was unable to complete at medical at FFC, something that MAF rightly insists on before a player joins Fulham.

There always has and always will be a different rule for others, but that said I think FFC probably made an honest declaration that trading had finished as far as FFC were concerned...
The English window shut at 5pm.
Scottish window shut a midnight.
However the time limit applies to the buying club. This meant Celtic could get Keane.
Thanks for the replies and filling me in with how it works.
Still not sure it's fair though?
