on deadline day we fouled up his paper work and the deal did not go through
i would have thought that lesson taught us not to wait till the last moment.
I would have thought, but apparently either we are signing nobody worth mentioning (most likely) or nobody at all (also very likely)
Of course the club may yet surprise us; ronaldo and messi may be on their way to sign up....but it would be Lionel Ronaldo and Christiano Messi if our management were to be involved!
There's no waiting for the last minute - there's FA all to sign - let down again by the owner who has no interest in FFC
You gave me a fright there for a minute thought he was coming back..Phew...
We have been known to miss players by waiting until the last window moment, quite possible there could be a mess up this afternoon that will keep a few million in the bank.

sorry, I hope you know i wasn't trying to frighten you more than necessary.
Both clubs were at fault on that deal, we submitted on time, they left it a little to late, but both clubs could have submitted everythinbg a lot earlier
I think that it is better that we haven't lost anybody of note
We have lost numbers, which when the squad was threadbare, makes us look a bit shaky if we have a few injuries.

at the risk of risk..... it was our fault, that is what was widely reported. we knew he was going and it was our end that made the error, it was a simple clerical error but error nonetheless and proved that it is better to get the deals done in very good time. IMO in a sane world it could have been approved by the authorities but they are not that way inclined.
As you may have noticed for days i have been writing on the MB that our management is playing russian roulette with the season, unless of course they have no intention of bringing in anyone. I have been castigated, as per usual, by the usual apologists for the club telling me these things take time, as if I were an idiot. However, leaving any business to the final hours AND on match day too has to be the daftest method of proceeding.
I suspect the owner wants to bring in nobody and will do the minimum for PR. If we don't go up, or at least make the playoffs I suspect season ticket sales to show a sharp decline. Supporting fulham is in my blood and part of my very fabric, but may others are discouraged by such lack of dynamism or leadership. This may yet prove to be one of the worst days fulham suffers for many years. If we fail to make the play offs joca will surely walk, he may actually just go through the motions from here to season end, it will be hard for him to motivate the team if he is not given the tools.
it says on another web site fulham wanted to sign enrich from eibar but because of complications with tax law and who funds what, that the deal will not go through on deadline day.. or inother words, we left it to late. i do not know how true it all is but that is what is reported.
apparently signing players is a complicated delicate business so cannot be rushed, that's what i have been told
it is even harder when you sit on your hands all day.

No we are safe, we have no woolly gloves in stock.
Just putting his name as a thread is irresponsible. Almost chocked on my amouse bouche. Think of all the people with weak tickers out there, or having their dinner.

In difficult times we occasionally need to use shock tactics. And ruiz was truly shocking

You've got to let it go.

ok i will not let it really go.
we have now sigend ON LOAN somebody most of us have never heard of, and we are threatening another similar one in kamara... these are what i would call last minute opportunistic signings that should only occur after signing a couple of proper players... i think it would be wise to bet your house on joca leaving in summer having been so spectacularly let down in the last and now this transfer window.
our owner does not appear to have a clue and seem also to have no interest in the club save for the odd PR opportunity at motpur park. in all my years this is the most unnecesarilly wasteful opportunity missed, i think it much worse than ernie clay failing to sign andy thomas, because mr khan has the wherwithall to do the necessary as part of loose change.
10th place beckons as joca loses interest.
ok there is a couple of hours to go but i suspect my outburst will be worse after 11
