don't know what that means but I susect it is bad for us!
it means Chelsea are dangling a carrot to say look you have a future here sign this new contract with us, oh good you've done that, right you're back out on loan

Chelsea arent just going to suddenly include Kalas as a first team player, hes well and truly part of the loan army. I reckon they sent him to China so that
1 To try to make him feel wanted by them in order to get him to sign a new contract
2 To make the Chinese happy that they're seeing a Chelsea player

That doesn't sound very encouraging, and at this stage of proceedings, I hope Fulham have a few ideas tucked up their sleeve, like " how the flaming heck are we going to get out of this mess".

I don't think its that at all, they extended Zouma and Piazon and then loaned them out, I think its about return for them, means they have more hand in what they can get for him
if he was coming to us I suspect we would have him by now and for sure if we were serious he would be in austria not china.

I am not so sure about that, think there was a lot of toing and throing about who he joined and then what they wanted for him., I think it could happen he joins us on loan again maybe in a week or so's time, but equally I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get him back
It's going to be a massive fortnight now before the big Ko. I hope Fulham have saved the best until last, and bring in the obvious first choice players we need, and the back ups.
Otherwise we can forget about any aspirations of promotion.
Its a couple of players thats all 75% of the team is gelled and i thonk we will get the players in so it may not be a perfect senario for the team ,believe we will have another good season.
A couple players to me is nowhere near enough, our squad is thinner than ever, and any injuries to any player let alone to key players will take its toll. It's a long hard season and no prisoners taken, and we look a little behind in preperation, and that's the polite way of saying it.

might yet get worse. no signings and the manager will get restless and leave. he is our prized possesion.... and/or cairney will also think what am i doing here, the management are not bothered so come january he will go for a bargain basement price...
that is what will happen if the owner and his son do not make things happen rather than continue sleep walking us into a disaster.
Nose slow down mate your imagination is running 200 miles an hour. So many assumptions there. All I think unlikely.
Totally right ok impact signings are good for the supporters but not so good for the team nor yet the youngsters coming up behind. It is important that any players coming in are the right players at the right price. I believe everyone wants that even Slav so why would either he or any other coach walk at this stage

I can't see him being near their starting line-up for the Prem, however with Zouma going on loan they may be thinking of keeping him as a back-up. They're obviously checking him out and wouldn't be surprised if they like what they see.

Terry R
The preparation Terry R should have already commenced and started allegedly and officially weeks ago, the planning should have started months ago.
The time to calm down has long gone, unless you can categorically reassure me that we are guaranteed to be alright on the night.
I am waiting calmly.......🆘
I will need photographs, independent witnesses and signed statements by a clerk of the court. 🆘
Speed is of the essence.....🆘
No I didn't think you could, never mind, nothing to be ashamed of. I couldn't find any evidence or proof either. 🆘

Agreed. The first 4-5 matches will define the season, and the current squad without any additions will not come out anywhere near the Top 6.

Looks like Hull might be getting another of Chelsea's CB's on loan for the season, guessing their links with Kalas are done - good sign. Look forward to having him back if reports are to be believed.

Most of the fans can see that but can the Fulham management.
There is no doubt we need Kalas and that Chelsea are playing a dirty game in the matter.
However we really should have set a deadline on the deal and if this was not met we should have seriously looked for an alternative centre back.
Chelsea have one more game in Asia on Saturday, so unless he's left the tour, he is unlikely to sign before the middle of next week.
What a great way to announce a new signing! Watching a video of the players training then they pan over to Kalas holding his new shirt! Welcome back!!!!
What a great player we needed back desperately! Well done the club!
he's back
That phone call I made to the club in the early hours has clearly paid off.
Kalas Returns
Thursday 27 July 2017 12:00
The Club is delighted to announce that Tomas Kalas has returned on a season-long loan from Chelsea for the 2017/18 campaign.
Kalas played a crucial role at the heart of defence to help Fulham reach the Sky Bet Championship Semi-Finals last season.
The Czech Republic international featured in 36 league games last season and scored for the Whites against Huddersfield Town in the 5-0 win at Craven Cottage in October.
At just 24-years-old he has played seven times for the Czech Republic and has been a regular member of their squad aiming to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Prior to joining Fulham on loan last season the centre-back played a key role in helping Middlesbrough reach the Play-Off Final in 2014/15, before winning promotion with them as runners-up in the 2015/16 season.
Kalas started out at his hometown club Sigma Olomouc before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2010.
Two seasons were then spent on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in Holland, during which time he was named the Czech Republic Young Player of the Year.
He made his debut for Chelsea in a 2-0 League Cup win over Arsenal in October 2013 and his Premier League debut and first start for Chelsea came at Anfield later that season, also in a 2-0 victory.
In the summer of 2014 the defender moved on loan to FC Cologne in Germany, but he departed for Middlesbrough midway through the campaign.
Tony Khan, Vice Chairman and Director of Football Operations, said: "It's a pleasure to welcome Tomas Kalas back to the Fulham Football Club.
"We appreciate Tomas so much after the way that he battled for us last season, demonstrating not only tremendous skill but also great heart and determination. We're very excited to have him here again as one of us as we prepare for our next battle, and what we hope will be a great season! COYW!"
Its a big step in the right direction but there is more work to do yet.
Good news and one we can all get behind. But we are still dong our best to have a squad as good as last season. We are still short of that. The squad needed to be slightly improved and we are way short of that.
However it is at least better news for the back. Now is that it for the defence or are we going to actually buy another defender? Or will a forward be more important?
Three season long loans now.
That's what I was waiting!

Good news now let's spend some cash and actually buy a couple of players. BTW what chance of signing Kalas permanently at the end of the season?

Well thats interesting, i saw he was in the training session pictures so assumed he was in the friendly squads. I just checked and he has not featured once since the two Poland games where he started both. I think he was shown on stationary bike and with ice on knee so I am guessing he has been nursing an injury.

I think- with no evidence of course - that Slav knows Madl can do a job so with him being injured and him knowing Kalas was a reasonable cert to return he has being trying to see what Djalo and Sig can do. From what I have heard from people who were at some of the next 4 games Sig is what we know, slow and clumsy and Djalo is slow and more skilful, especially once played next to Ream. Both played in front of Button which gives the heebeejeebees to most of our defenders including the shellacking by Chelsea.
