Post by: rweller86 on July 28, 2017, 03:32:09 PM
Nice piece on Offal from Ashkan. Currently over to watch the game on Saturday - a free agent since leaving Wolfsburg in this summer.

We speculate on who is or isn't premier league quality.  This guy absolutely was...in a team with plenty who weren't.  Smashing player and his linkage with Reither at right back was about as good as 4-4-2 can be played by two wide players in tandem.

Was Dejagah Player of the Season 2014-15 (relegation season)? He'd have been mine. I've a vague idea Sidwell won.

Dejegah was a quality player but somehow we never seemed to make the best use of him. If I remember correctly he did suffer injuries while with us.

We have some good wide men right now and have more pressing needs in other positions.

Did have some issues re injury. Like many players on his day he looked very handy. But somehow he never really did enough good things to warrant feeling too bad when he went. I think we have many decent wide players now who are just as good as he was.

Disagree. We go up and Ayite Aluko Kebano would not be as effective as Ashkhan was. I'm not saying we should resign him as wages probably big and we have good enough wingers now. But he is better than what we have.

Fair enough. I just remember that he seemed to have a big problem with his shoulder all the time while with us.
