I know there's lots of talk of banana skins, the boys looking tired and other teams roughing us up but today's kick off times work for us nicely. Millwall kick off early and a win will see them go above Derby. Derby need to find some form quick otherwise they're going to slip. If they do it's good news for us, considering they have to play Cardiff.
Come kick off at Craven Cottage the lads will know exactly what they need to do to keep the pressure building on Cardiff. There are no guarantees in live or football but occasionally fate gives you a push.
TBH, the team thinking should be play 4 win 4, then whatever else happens is beyond their control. 049:gif
If the team mentality is we play four Cup Finals, then tired or not the adrenalin should kick in. The players have been saying they want to go up automatically as they remember the Play Offs last year. They will be up for every game.

For me the ideal results would be -
Sheff Utd to beat Millwall
Burton to beat Derby
Boro to draw with Bristol
Norwich to beat Cardiff
Of course us to smash Brentford.
Wonder what the price is for there results?

I think today will go one of two ways
Cardiff lose or draw, the Cottage will be rocking like it was when news of the Villa goal came in on Tuesday, and we will just steamroller Brentford 3-0
OR
Cardiff win and I think there will be real serious pressure, palpable both on the off the pitch, hopefully we still win but it will be a painful, nervy 90 mins and a narrow 1-0 or 2-1 at best
Just my prediction

100% agree with that summary.
Sheff Utd 1-1 Millwall. That's why Sheff Utd won't be making the playoffs, scored, then conceded straight away again.
Shef vs Millwall finished 1-1.Can accept that. Would have preferred Sheff to have won.

Poor result, gives Brentford even more to play for and continues Millwall's unbeaten run.
Cardiff have been getting about 40% possession on average (and consistently) for the past month.
I think that is cause for them to blink first for the race for 2nd spot.
I'm not too worried about Cardiff's result today. They will most likely win today against an "unmotivated" Norwich.
Although, I would be very interested in Cardiff's stats today.

This game really has no relevance on us, if anything, a Millwall win, helps keep Boro out the playoffs. I know people want to break Millwalls run, but, they're serving a purpose at the minute.
Norwich looking to the future, fielding 5 kids today.

Not happy about that but at least Cardiff will not know much about them.
Boro 0-1 Bristol
Didn't know Norwich had put out a weak team.
Sol Bamba injured. That should weaken the Cardiff defense a bit.
Cardiff is also at 38% possession only.... they are still on track for a downward slide since 1 month ago.
Burton beating derby
#crazy#division#
As Russ Goldman would say, "Come on Narich"
So Colin's team have managed a whopping one shot on target in 55 minutes against an "uninterested" and "weak" Norwich side. Interesting.
(Now watch them score.)
Derby have imploded. Burton 3-1 up.
Millwall only gets a point today.
Derby County losing 1-2 at 69th.
Bristol and Middlesbrough still locked in a tie at 60th
Cardiff/Norwich still no score at 70th min
Good results so far. Hope they hold up.
Burton beating Derby 3 1 now
Norwich all over Cardiff like a rash but it is still 0-0 with 15 to go.
If Derby and Cardiff stumble today, odds for automatic promotion go up, and we're perhaps allowed a small stumble between now and finish line.

Aston Villa is probably our bigger threat at this moment... no stumble I'd say :)

2-0 Cardiff....
Unbelievable how many late goals they score after being totally outplayed in every game they play

Oh well, looks like we are going to have to win promotion the hard way!
Knew they'd score. Not to be pessimistic but I think that's it now. 4 wins and they're in the prem
And that's why Cardiff are where they are in the league!!!

Catching up on GD as well
bloody hell

Calm down people - it's a blow but we still have a good chance of auto promotion
Same again, we've got to win, and hope Cardiff slip up somewhere.

They need 4 good performances.... their monthly stats are showing otherwise and very susceptible to stumble against better teams.
Hope this result doesn't affect us tonight, our lads will be gutted though!

Of course, but now not as good as it was, for 86 minutes today I was thinking of automatic promotion.
Whatever their result we still need to win our games. That is our focus
Bloody norwich. Thought it would be at least a draw, brentford is a must win now COYW

23 Cardiff fouls to Norwich's 8. Is that another reason why Cardiff are where they are in the league. Dirty team that get away with blue murder.
I'm hoping that Bamba is out for rest the season, he has been immmense for them even though the guy is absolute dog and having the season of his career

Plus they've only got one hard-ish game, Derby and they aren't looking great
Reading the live text they did what they always do at the end of games, hump the ball into the box and eventually it seems always get the breaks. That's why Colin cannot manage abovethis level it's hit and hope.
What I would give for one of our games to be against Cardif
Thanks for nothing, Norwich.
pressure back on cardiff now
Apparently Norwich keeper had a mare and gifted both goals...Will see on 5 when get home.
We are now the Hunter.
Those two late Cardiff goals were effectively a poor start for us at the Cottage today.
Preston seem to be coming on really strong & could make the playoffs.
