High pressing game, starting with pressurising us when we try to play it out from the back and then closing us down all over the pitch. For the longest time we have struggled when teams use this tactic against us.
I don't blame Slav or the team. Our team and Slav are very good bordering on excellent. However we are not perfect, and we have weaknesses - the main weakness being that we have no answer to the tactics Brentford used yesterday.
Call me pessimistic but I don't think we will get through the play offs. Other clubs are not stupid. They all employ a team of analysts and they like Reading last year will know how to play against us.
Our main hope is that Brentford's high pressing game requires a lot of energy and stamina to sustain over 90 minutes. Even though they scored at the end they did actually look tired in the second half, unfortunately we also sat back and did not take advantage.

Agree in parts but honestly they didn't look like scoring in the 2nd half until they did
It wasnt working though ,as we were 1-0 up and had a defensive lapse (first in about 5or6 games under alot of pressure) and they still only got a draw. We can play a lot better and could also have ben further ahead in thart second half. Yes they played well and made it difficult for us but we should have won.

But then they could, and should, have been 2 goals up at half time.
I was surprised to not having seen this kind of post sooner.
We weren't ready for their high press tactics and did not cope well with it giving the ball away by the time we got to midfield. And I am talking about a perfect pass to their midfielder, nowhere close to our own on a few occasions.
I think either we had a poor day at the office and weren't bothered to either adapt or amend our typical build up play.
Regardless, while we still should have nicked it, one would think we will have to have this addressed should we want to win promotion.

Saying it was just high pressing, does not start to do it justice. Most teams press high against us
Millwall will be even more in our faces.
This would be important of it wasn't for the fact that we have known this last season and this. Yet teams seem to be unable to stop us. Our coach did try and change things after our poor run and very few things worked until we had a target type player, yes he is, then we have been on this sensational run. I thought poor tactics in the last ten minutes and out team looking tired and confused did for us. Not the usual high presing game. We haven't played well for a few weeks and have been fortunate to get the points we have. I am not sure what the play offs will bring but teams have known how to play against us for over a year but have failed to make it count.
