Title: Fulham 1 - 1 Cardiff
Post by: Yorkshirewhite on April 28, 2018, 09:58:30 PM
However this seasons standings end, I like many look at the results where points could of been picked up and where some were dropped,
For every Burton away there's a Middlesbrough away,
For every QPR at home where 2-0 becomes 2-2 there's a Sheffield UTD 4-5,

But with one more round to go and hopefully not another game to be played after until next season, Cardiffs gap of one point above us could be argued to stem from the earlier draw in the season,

The 23 games undefeated is unbelievable and the run harbours some draws which we could say have cost us but some of those draws like Hull could of been defeats and the west London derbies could of been any result, for me I cannot blame these matches as reasons we aren't second but more the 23 games are the reason we aren't 10th, as mid October I told the lads at work that this season would be nothing to play for no relegation threat and no chance of promotion, now I'm frantically thinking of what could be!

Enjoyed every bit of this season and the past 4 months especially!
I feel we will beat Birmingham not easily but we will see where 91 points gets us

It's funny isn't it. Looking at the table you'd think we'd be happy we have Birmingham and they have Reading. The thing is, Reading are in my opinion the worst team in the league. How they haven't gone down is beyond me. Losing 4-0 at home today is ridiculous.

I think we have about a 10% chance of autos but while we still have a chance, we have a chance.

It will be an interesting week but all the pressure is now on Cardiff. Every man and his dog expects them to walk it against Reading, and they probably will, but there is a chance.

As a fan of Astronomy, and as it's a Full Moon 🌕 next Sunday, and Pluto is due to move into Uranus. I feel that a Fulham win away to Birmingham City, and a Reading draw away to Cardiff City is nailed on.

The final Saturday of the National League schedule brought with it some interesting results as teams battled for position all at the same time but hopelessly at the mercy of second by second changes happening on far way football pitches they could neither see nor influence except, perhaps, by some paranormal trickery.   Just as Danny Murphy demonstrated for FFC a whole decade ago nothing is finally determined until the fat lady sings, and many unusual things happen on the final day of a season as moment by moment decisions by players, managers, referees, officials go right or wrong as the case may be.

There is a pink full moon tomorrow which is said to be the true harbinger of Spring.  Expect a miracle in the coming week or so.

But have you got a hammer to bang that nail down ?

I think we are capable of a win at Birmingham which would mean everything hangs on Reading forcing a draw at Cardiff.

Reading have not been playing well and will need strong support from their fans. Will their fans make the easy journey along the M4 in numbers, I suspect not.

Perhaps our fans would be better employed at Cardiff than Birmingham. (only joking)
