Title: Keep calm and?
Post by: Andy S on May 25, 2018, 09:32:12 AM
Suggestions for what Slav should do to keep the players calm today.
And what are you doing in order to stay calm ahead of tomorrow?

No idea what Slav should be doing or saying to be honest  :023: I keep thinking to myself..."what would I say to my players on Football Manager." hehehe.

As for myself, I've given up trying to stay cool! Instead I'm trying to keep myself busy. Off to Comic Con today at the London Excel which is normally a big deal for me, but I'm just waiting for it to be over so Saturday is finally here  :dft011:

He might give the players a joint to relax and stay cool man.
I shall be at Lords falling asleep watching the cricket.

This is really getting to me. Yesterday I thought it was Friday. Not until I went and brought our local paper did I realise. Then I wondered why the front page headline was the same as last week's.... :022: :023: :016:

Just imagine if I had traveled up today...'Where is everybody?'  :003:

I'm very calm but on the day I will be a wreck. I'd think he will keep them occupied with a little light training. Will they spend the night together in a Hotel since we are at home?

I've been really impressed with the tone of Slav's interviews over the last week. Very little of that standard vague "hopefully we'll get a result" you often get from managers: upbeat, just dismissive enough of Villa's experience, just bullish enough about our ability to take on any team, focusing on our players' energy and determination. He's certainly made me feel more confident, let's hope it worked for the players as well  :clap_hands:

Don't the squads get to have a training session on the pitch in the week before?

No. Time for Slavisa to show what he is made of. No one remembers the losers, only the winners, and even though he has had the great season, at the end of the day it means nothing if he can not win promotion. Many think, including me, that he is not the coach for big matches, because he is not the motivator. Let him prove everyone wrong, and may this be the beginning of a great coaching career.

I'm not too nervous about the game, I'm struggling going to the match in just my Fulham shirt.  Where will I keep my valuables, what if it rains, where will I put my programme - nurse!

Exactly what I have been trying to come to terms with!
