I fear for Ream, West Ham have started playing very quick balls in behind.

I fear for Odoi if Schurrle is on the right wing as he was lost in action for 3 goals at manure last week! COYW

Well well well. I would have been tempted with Christie instead of Ream, also based on the West Ham pace issue, with Odoi playing more central but then that would have been yet another permutation for the back four. Seri retains his place so as was mentioned in another thread what do we know?

I would have had Christie playing. This defence didn't play well last week. Not sure if he isn't injured if it is a good time to rest Sess. Seems a good game for him.

Yeah apparently not in the squad. Maybe Ranieri giving him a rest after reaching 100 games, taking the pressure off young shoulders etc (?).

Definitely a surprise move, but not necessarily for negative reasons.

I would'nt be surprised if Ranieri has thought to take some off pressure off Sess. He looked spent last week and also looked like the only player in white who gave a ratz. Might be wrong though. Let the transfer rumour conspiracies begin.

Worrying spot is Odoi at RB. Would have preferred Christie. Ream was doing alright in the last game (only 2nd half counts ofcourse).

Well, at least there is consistency.

In the backline.

In the fact that Ranieri will tinker.

So there's that...

Don't see that as a winning team at all, wouldn't have played Odoi and Ream, definitely not picked Seri and Schurlle, we will do well to get a draw! Not sure about Sess not starting but thought he would have been on the bench, something strange about that, got to be an injury problem?

By the way I have absolutely nothing to support that last statement. Not even a rumour, wild guess or wind up.

Don't like this defence at all. Would not have been my preference, can't see a clean sheet from this line up.

What defence (lol), I will be amazed if we get anything from the game and even more amazed if we keep a clean sheet!

Ream, Seri & Schurrle had better step up & be counted. All 3 owe us  better performances than of late.

You're not wrong though. Noticed several times in the second half, he kind of gave up in certain spots. Of course, he's a professional and did the complete opposite at times as well. However, there two distinct points where he tried to beat his man 1v1 and couldn't do it, then just looked dejected afterwards.

Honestly would not surprise me if it is an injury, which will also help recharge the batteries.

Schurrle has the ability that much is clear.  Ream has thus far failed to convince at this level but was terrific in the Champ.  Serri started by looking the part but has gone backwards and I am pessimistic about whether he can turn it around.

Chopping and changing defense by CR. Coming back to SJ times, but he did it partly due to many injuries. But lets see.
