I think he has been really solid for us this year and would be a great player for us in the Championship. What is the likelihood that we can retain him? Does he have a future at Arsenal?
I don't think he'll ever get anywhere near the Arsenal team. In terms of ability IMO a club like Fulham in the bottom 6 of the PL or top 6 of the Championship is about his level. However I suspect that based on reputation and nationality, he'll have better offers. I can see him being paid a good wage to warm the bench at West Ham or Everton.
I think it would be absolutely brilliant to have him. But unfortunately, simply BECAUSE he has been so solid for us this season, I can't see him 'lowering' himself to Championship level :dft004:
He clearly enjoys playing for us but his wages will be the stumbling block.

Chambers has declared that his aim next season is to fight for a place in the Arsenal team. Shame, he has possibly been the one success for us this season.

He has been 1 of our better players lately, but not great at the start, certainly good enough and an asset to play for us in the Championship, but it won't happen, so the thread is really a waste of time!
He's Premiership quality. Think he will end up at West Ham on loan again.
