Clearly trying his best and really wants to do well.
But he's just not making the impact I would have hoped for so far this season.
Clearly a top player at this level and I agree about his effort
IMO he is just not utilised correctly
When you've a wealth of attacking talent like Mitrovic, Reid, Cavaleiro, Cairney and Johansen (and Knockaert himself) it's about getting the ball to people's feet inside the 18 yard box and letting their skills and finishing do the damage
He seems to have spent too long with the unsophisticated managers Chris Houghton telling him to punt early, long, hopeful crosses and shots instead of getting down the wing and/or playing low, delicate crosses and passes
But with all that said he was well unlucky last night and deserved a goal or two
Our French players played well today !
We have the squad for quick incisive attacks.
Instead we insist on slow ponderous play.
More cocerned about our £12 million commitment to Bobby Reid
Knockheart is not alone, several of our quality players, while not playing badly, have not hit their best form including Cairney.
He will be aware of this more than anyone and keen to improve. He will come good with time, I'm sure of it.

He certainly looks decent at times but the barren 'goals scored' column is a worry, given what he achieved at Bristol City. The dilemma seems to be where to play him.
I agree also with Statto's observations on Knockaert.
